Wonderful
Beautiful building and our room was spacious with all the mod cons. Location is perfect.
We found the bed and pillows to be hard and not comfortable sadly.

The room was quite big and has much space. The bathroom also was big and very comfortable with two showers. The bed was huge and very comfortable with very good pillows. The whole room was very clean and it was cleaned every day by the staff. We had clean towels every morning. The breakfast was good enough but there was a small variety of food. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the Placa Catalunya. I suggest this hotel for your stay in Barcelona.

The whole staff was so hospitable , friendly and helpful . The open buffet breakfast had a lot of choices to eat and drink. The room was clean and big. The hotel was in the city center . We walked everywhere.
We had an extra bed , but the there were wheels under it so when you turned while sleeping the bed moved with you to left or right .

Great location and friendly staff.
A lot of maintenance issues. The bath plug was broken and there was another switch in the bathroom that was broken. Also, during my stay, the phone lines were down so room service was not available.
The bed was very small - ok for 1 person, not ok for 2 yet it was supposed to be a double room - and the bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable.

The location was good.
I felt terrible about choosing this hotel for me and my mother to stay at. The hotel is quite run down and there were many faults in our room that made staying there a negative experience. One of these was that the room was impossibly hot (26 degrees) even in march. We tried to bring this up to the reception who said they would fix this right away. Yet nothing was ever done about it. Even bigger problem was that we had trouble opening the door to our room each time we wanted to enter. We needed to go back down to the reception every day to ask help with opening the door and again we were assured that next day the lock would be fixed. I don’t think they had any intention to fix it at any point. Now reading other reviews I notice that this is a pattern they have. The hotel is simply too old and needs all kinds of fixes that they are not willing to do. It does not most definitely feel like a four star hotel. Please think twice before choosing this hotel!
