Location had its perks, close to the heart of downtown Barcelona and the Gothic Quarter. Bit of a walk to the port.
The hard part is vehicle access, most cabs will come to door while Uber will make you walk from nearest Main Street.
The complimentary wine and cheese at 5:30 was a nice touch.
Nice linen and soaps, plug ins next to bed, and Clothing steamer as well.
All the staff were great and pleasant.
We did not gave the chance to use all the facilities because we were so busy.

Would be nice to have a real coffee maker like Kcup or Nespresso in room rather than the instant. Everything else made up for this small shortfall

The location is great - right in the heart of everything.
For ~$350 a night, I expected better. The room didn't include enough hand/face towels for each guest, and the hotel also required a €10 deposit for each pool towel. It felt unnecessarily stingy and not what I'd expect at this price point.

I am disappointed with how this issue was handled. The staff were not cooperative, did not listen to my concerns, and repeatedly interrupted me before I could finish explaining the situation. I found this to be unprofessional.
I used to enjoy staying at this hotel because of the excellent service and friendly staff. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very different, and the level of customer service has noticeably declined.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right next to the gothic quarter and the cathedral. it was very convenient to explore, shop and eat, with plenty of options right at the doorstep. The front desk staff was always very pleasant and welcoming and helped with all my questions, offered a map of the city at checkin. They had complimentary tasting with their House wine and cheese on the day we arrived, which was wonderful and a welcome start to the stay. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent, loved the green courtyard and setting for the breakfast. The servers were very prompt and hospitable. The room was a bit tight but thats to be expected considering the location, the bathroom was very nice and good water pressure. We enjoyed an excellent view of iconic The Kiss of Freedom right from our room!
Liked everything about the hotel. Just a little feedback on transportation, The taxis don't like to go all the way to this hotel since it is set at the end of an alley, we were dropped off on the main road and it was an easy walk, except on arrival, when we had to drag our bags on cobblestones. You will also have to wait for a while to get a taxi to pick you up, so plan extra time for that.

The breakfast was great, lots of delicious pastries, cooked to order eggs, delicious fruit and the coffee was awesome. The roof top pool was fun and nice. a bit of a view which was lovely. I loved the location in the Gothic Quarter. lots to see and do in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to recommend activities with my reduced mobility in mind.
Nothing. Liked it all. It was really great. I missed the free tour offering for the Gothic Quarter. I was very excited about it but missed it and its only 1/week. It would be great if it were offered more frequently.

the concierge staffs. They just don’t communicate or leave some notes for other ones in different shifts. I asked if we could leave the luggage overnight for one night since we are staying at hotel barcelona for 3 nights then away for one night in another town then return to stay again for another night via booking.com message way ahead of time. We received an answer that they could store our luggage for one night for us since we planned to return and stay with them again the next day. We also double check about such upon check in with the concierge !!! However, at check out on Tue 2Jun, the lady and guy concierge told us that we could not leave the luggage overnight with bad looks on their faces. Luckily, I had proof of the conversation. I was so dissatisfied that i didn’t catch their names. The guy concierge’s english (on duty that time) was not good at all and this same guy came and knocked on my door with “no disturb sign” just to give a flyer too. He should just slip it under the door.
