It said it was 1 star. I expected a small dingy room which i could just get my head down at night and go out the next day and forget about it until i next needed my bed. It turn out that the room was imaculate and a comfotable bed. Yes it was basic but had everything i needed. Lovely powerful shower with fancy settings and separate heads on the down pipe that squirted horazontally. Clean towels and clean bed. On a couple of ocasions i asked reception for directions and they were were very helpful. If i go back to barca i would definately book there.

Rooms were clean, newly upholstered and done. Staff was very kind.
Some of the other customers did not look safe to me. We were a bit scared at arrival, but the hotel security system was good enough that we felt comfortable afterwards. They got two very drunk guys who woke us up on the second night. But the hotel admin did their best to optimize I think.

Its incredible to pay almost 100 a night for a room like that. The window cant be completely open because it crushes to the tv that crushes as well into the door. The bed moves as there are wheels, the bathroom door is difficult to close and the window cant be opened because theres no knob. The bedside table cant be named like that, its like 5cm of space, in an irregular shape. Staff nice when you arrive but then they dont even reply to a hello. The room is definitely small and completely different from pictures. No safety, old thin wood doors.

Location, close to the La Rambla and the Gothic quarter was great. Room was basic but clean with a great walk in shower. Like the fact the floors were tiled and not carpeted. More hygienic but a compromise on sound proofing. Aircon was efficient and the safe was an added bonus for peace of mind. On the fifth floor but there's a lift. Plenty of local budget eateries, bars and shops. This hotel is ideal for the solo traveller and was the cheapest I could find by far, especially located where it is. At the end of the day I wasn't in Barcelona to stay in the hotel anyway. Staff were pleasant and courteous.
The hotel is quite noisy but I didn't care too much as I was on a leasure trip and not for work. As I've said, the tiled floors increase the noise. Also got to remember this is a 1 star hotel. Keys are left at reception each time you leave the hotel but I would have like to have been asked to identify myself everything I returned for my key. Didn't always happen. The area the hotel is in might not be for everyone as it's a bit rough but personally as someone who has travelled I quite liked it and didn't have any problems. A bed side light would be nice as the ceiling lights are glaring when your lying in bed.

Receive Room not like in the photo. On the streets nose in night time.locale peoples fight, somebody robbery somebody dai. Very criminal district.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Not soundproofing at all. I could hear toilet flushing from room above, slamming doors and loud ppl at 4 am.
