Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, featuring a rooftop bar and pool, friendly and helpful staff.
In room facilities were a little dissapointing, no coffee or coffee making facilities, just teabags, mini bar not stocked ( and not offered to be stocked ), bathing products were 'basic', one bottle of water which couldn't be opened, and power sockets that switch off when the room lights turn off ( I thought the kettle was broken when I went to make tea in the morning). In this day an age, trying not to let people charge devices isn't what I'd expect from a premium boutique hotel. Rooftop bar closed a little early, though this was a on a Monday.

Great location. Unfortunately a lot of work being carried out in the surrounding roads
We were in a city view room was great. However our sleep was constantly interrupted by a metro train. The hotel room shuddered - it felt like the roof was going to cave in. This happened frequently and ruined our sleep

The staff were helpful, the rooms were large and clean.
We were even given a bottle of champagne but didn't have time to drink but it's the thought that counts. We are back there after our cruise in a few days time and again in July. It's our favourite hotel in Barcelona for a night before a cruise.

I liked that the window opened when it was too stuffy and I could not get the thermostat to modify the room temperature I liked the roof deck. But, I could never find where the fresh towels were, it was not obvious.
The thermostat - i don't think it worked. My sister had a similar issue in her room.
And, the bathtub/shower was too slippery. I had to use a towel to stand on to safely take a shower. I was really nervous. I said something to housekeeping when she came around the 2nd day. But I don't think her English was good. When I checked out I said something at the front desk and she said I should have talked to housekeeping. That there was a bath mat available. I told her I did talk to housekeeping and she seemed not to understand me.
And the housekeeper should announce herself when entering my room. One afternoon I was sitting there and she just came in. There is a door bell and she could have knocked. That was not okay. Not the maid, just the housekeeper in the afternoon.
My sister tried twice to call the spa to book a massage and no one answered the phone. So she didn't book it.

Central location on Las Ramblas, everything you need in walking distance. Calm, clean and friendly. Can't comment on food and drinks as we ate out during our stay but the pools/spa were welcome after exploring Barcelona all day! I must also add that the reception desk and spa staff were always friendly and helpful which makes any stay more pleasant.
Very little...the lifts have a personality of their own!
