Nice big comfy bed and great rooftop bar. Lovely and clean. Really appreciated the complimentary breakfast on one day.

Hotel was beautiful. Rooms were spacious. Excellent location.
Someone walked into our room while we were sleeping in the morning. They had a key and had been assigned to our room. After my husband went to talk to them to find out what mistake was made still they called the room and told our children to get out because they were in the wrong room. Very strange experience that ruined our stay with them. They did give us breakfast as an apology. Breakfast was nice. If not for the room issue and attitude about it the stay would have been 5 stars. The rest of the staff was fantastic.

Hotel 1898 has an excellent location! Just steps off La Rambla and in the heart of Barcelona. Surrounded by many restaurants and shopping options and is conveniently located near Starbucks and Carrefour. Our guestroom was comfortable and quiet, with excellent climate control.
It took a bit of trial and error to figure out the shower, but that was totally on me, as there was an instruction card.

The rooftop pool and bar were he highlight. That view is stellar! The staff and attention to our experience was top notch.
Barcelona is under so much construction and the cleanliness of the city was very poor.

Wide variety to choose from for breakfast. We arrived a bit before closing time and food items were being cleared. Bottle of champagne in my room was so thoughtful.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean.
The street was in reconstruction. Awful place to stay during the renovation and noise. Seems like that info should be provided before booking hotel.

The hotel was great. The location was better than I thought when I made the reservation. The view from the rooftop is incredible. The only drawback was the rumbling noise. Subway? Your employees should be commended for their attitude and professionalism.
