The rooftop and staff were great!
The water pressure in the shower was weak and the water sprayed on the edge of the bath tub instead of the middle like most showers. When we got into the hotel room it was hot and we had to call the front desk to get the AC turned on.

Exceptional service and attentive staff. After checkout, I noticed that the center diamond of my wedding ring had fallen out of its setting. The front desk and housekeeping staff were wonderful in searching my room and the front desk area. Eventually, my lost diamond was found and arrangements will be made to send this lost diamond to me in Canada.
Each time we've returned to Barcelona, we've stayed at this hotel. It is close to many very good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Close to several popular site-seeing places including the Gothic quarter.
The most comfy beds and1898 has an excellent breakfast buffet with many food and beverage choices.
The view from their top floor lounge of the city is unbelievable both during the day and at night.
Used their fitness center each day and they offer spa services. Indoor and outdoor pools available.
We received a bottle of complimentary champagne during our last stay as a repeat customer. What a pleasant surprise!
Will be returning again to 1898 next time we are in Barcelona!

Great location and great staff. Room was very comfortable and extremely quiet.
The only thing that was missing were a coffee machine and bathrobes.

Classy, beautiful hotel. Wonderful rooftop pool, bar and patio with excellent views of Barcelona and coast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Just 1/2 blk off LaRambla but quiet in hotel. Taxis out front daily. Location is very good for touring, visiting the market and many restaurants.

Central location, rooftop area is nice, breakfast was good.
Interiors too dark and a bit gloomy with all the dark wood floors and wall paneling and dark paint and marble. Lighting in room was not bright enough. Staff not super friendly but not bad. Rooftop staff and vibe a bit too arent we so cool and a classic martini is not available at the rooftop bar (one waiter had no idea what one was). Loved the evening cart of aperitifs and champagne. Breakfast was good with a lot of various choices.

Location was great. Staff was exceptional.
The property is tired and rooms are definitely in need of updating in appearance and amenities. The hotel is, at least to some extent, living on its reputation and does not command the premium price.

The location is fantastic and the lobby and rooftop bar are excellent.
The staff is indifferent and some rude. The breakfast was understaffed all the tables were in constant service. The parking is ok because you are guided through a pedestrian area but leaving you are on you own.

Great location, comfortable beds, and rooftop pool.
The noise from the subway interrupted my sleep at times and at no point were we warned about it. Also the food/drinks at the rooftop pool wasnt great and there were bad smells throughout the halls and lobby area.
