Wonderful
We reserved one single room and one family room for four people with a kitchen. The larger room was spacious and equipped with all the essential amenities. The single room had a large bed, which comfortably accommodated my two children (ages 4 and 9) and their grandmother. The air conditioning worked very well, which was especially important for us with kids and as we stayed during the summer.
Aside from the hotel's excellent location, the bed sheets were clean and smelled fresh. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local tourist attractions. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.
One minor issue was that our room was not cleaned even though we had hung the housekeeping card on the door on the second day. However, we did not raise the matter with the staff, and we are confident they would have promptly addressed it had we informed them.

The hotel and the room were beatiful. The staff was very nice and helped us with some questions about transportation and restaurant recommendations. The room had A/C which was very useful for summer days. The hotel is very well located near the Rambla (restaurants, shops, tourist places). Free coffee and filtered water on the first floor. Nice rooftop with beverages and snacks available to buy.

It was a great location, right in the heart of Barcelona. We were there for a couple of nights. The room has a little balcony with table and chair set against a wall, as you can see in the photo. Unfortunately, when we walked into the room it was very musty. There was a cool rooftop you could access, also a coffee machine and teas were available off the lobby. If you have more than one bag each (we were traveling with just personal size backpacks) there was nowhere to put your things. I do not know where you would have placed a suitcase in this room as there was just enough space to walk around the bed, and no hooks to hang anything either. There was sort of an open structure to place a backpack for one person and the second person had to clear some space on a credenza.
Room was damp and musty. This hotel seemed to have at least one large group of young people, so there was a lot of noise overhead, with people talking loudly and walking around at all hours. May have just been our misfortune to be in a room directly under a dorm.

Great location & good breakfast. Water, coffee, tea always available. The hotel itself was a bit warm but we could control the temp in our room well. Staff was friendly & helpful.
Terrible pillows - offered little support and were skinny & narrow. Bed was OK but felt discomfort on pressure points is hips. Room was small for two friends sharing a twin bed room. It had no decor, making time in their feel dismal. Overall, the room & hotel look pretty worn & could be cleaner.

We rented an apartment for our family of four and it was great. Very spacious and clean and modern. The breakfast was superb!!! Worth every euro! The staff was very friendly and the terrace was very enjoyable. They had a fridge with a barcode to purchase wine, soda, beer and snacks from.

I stayed in many places during my trip to Barcelona and this was by far my favorite stay! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The accomodations were clean and cute and I loved the living plant wall right outside the window. It was an added benefit that the hotel was eco friendly and used many different ways to cut down on wasteful resources. The lobby and kitchen area were very nice and the family style breakfast offering was adorable. There was a nice rooftop terrace with chairs and tables to rest outside of you'd like and they provided yoga mats if you wanted to stretch and flow! The location was wonderful and was one of my favorite streets to walk up and down with tons of great food and shopping options. Plus a park very close by! I sincerely can't say enough good things about this place, easily 10/10.
And to clarify, I was not requested to leave a review and I was not paid for this! After a crappy stay at a different hotel it was necessary for me to dictate just how nice the stay was at Hostal Grau. Will absolutely be coming back. Thank you!

Excellent location 250 meters from Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed firm but comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast is a buffet with eggs cooked to order. An elevator made access easy. There is a rooftop patio with beverages and snacks available.
No air conditioning, which resulted in it being too warm for sleeping.

The staff was incredible. The hotel was clean and well cared for. The location is very nice with lots of transportation options very close by.
The only bad point is that there is a lot of street noise and it doesn't really quite down until after 1 or 2 in the morning, at least on weekends.

The location of Hostal Grau was perfect for us, in the heart of the old city. We loved our room and the hotel in general. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They gave us recommendations for awesome bars and restaurants which we walked to. They printed our boarding passes, arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport, and just took good care of us.
We really can't think of a negative thing about Hostal Grau.

It was very cold in the first apartment we had. Then due to renovation we moved to a family room which was too warm. Both rooms were with very limited possibilities for heat regulation. I hope that such issues will be resolved after the renovation.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was nice and clean, especially the bathroom, which looked new and very well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, especially the guy and girl at the front desk who seemed like a couple. They were both very helpful and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience!

The bathroom needs to be upgraded or properly cleaned. Saw mold in the corners. There was no TV in the room, which is a bummer when the weather is not in your favor.
