Spacious and decent room compared to other downtown hostels. A nice bonus was having a fridge, dishwasher, sink, free water, and other amenities. Our child stayed for free, and our son had his own bed, which was great.
The elevator and hallways are quite small, similar to other hostels. Daily cleaning was provided, though it was done later in the afternoon.

We were genuinely very satisfied with our stay at Eco Hostal Grau. We stayed as a group of four and booked two rooms, and from the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable. Even though we arrived early, they securely stored our luggage while the rooms were being prepared, which allowed us to explore the city without any hassle — a big plus for us.
The location is excellent; it is very close to La Rambla, situated on a street that directly connects to two main avenues, and the area feels safe and convenient. It is an ideal base for exploring the city.
The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Everything was homemade, organic, and very fresh. Starting the day with such a thoughtfully prepared breakfast was a real pleasure.
The hotel has a minimalist design, yet everything you need has been carefully considered. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The common area feels warm and welcoming, and having tea and coffee available throughout the day was a lovely touch.
Most importantly, the staff were exceptional — genuinely kind, friendly, and helpful. They patiently answered all of our questions (and we may have asked quite a few), making us feel more like guests in a home rather than at a hotel.
If we return to Barcelona, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The property was very quiet for such a central location. The reception is 24 hours and also on the premises, which isn’t always the case. I liked having a kettle to make my tea, although some milk would have been welcome.
The pull out bed in the second bedroom was very odd. It was far too high even for my companion, who is 6ft tall, so we had to improvise. She couldn’t reach all the crockery in the kitchen cupboard either. Obviously intended for very tall guests!

The location is superb! Near Plaza Catalunya which is the main hub for transportation in Barcelona... a few minutes walk to some of the Gaudi houses too! the hotel is excellent, the beds were comfy and the room feels homey...there is a lovely rooftop and kitchen has 24 hour free hot drink machine...highly recommend for families, friends and everyone.

The location was very close to the major sites like Las Ramblas and two convenient metro stops, but was also off the main roads so quiet. The hotel room was spacious for just me and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was well worth it. I liked that the front desk was staffed at all times and they were all very friendly and helpful.

I much enjoyed my stay at Hostal Grau, I would definitely choose it again for a future trip.
The location is perfect, one can easily get from the hotel to most famous places in Barcelona by foot.
The stuff was most welcoming and helpful. The ladies who served the breakfast were very dutiful and kind.
My friends and I enjoyed the complimentary coffee, tea and filtered water which were continuously available.
We also took advantage of the rooftop bar, a cost place to wind down after a visiting day.
It’s not that I didn’t like, but I would’ve preferred a more naturally illuminated window. My room’s window faced a wall and it was quite dark even during the day. However, I appreciated a lot that the hosted tapered it with climbing green flowers.
My friends had a room with windows facing a courtyard and it was very illuminated by day. They had three beds. Maybe next time I would consider asking for such a room.
