The location is outside Barcelona in a suburb called Sant Cugat. If you are not travelling by car - please remember this would need some effort to reach. Yes, there is a direct connection (S2) from Barcelona City Center but then its ~45min ride followed by another 10min by walk (steep one). With a family, with luggage or with small kids, this could be definitely something to consider.
Secondly, elevators didnt work - With a room on the 5th floor it was quite a bit of an exercise everyday ! Didnt look like someone was trying to repair it as well
Thirdly - Absolutely no hot water - There was a technical issue apparently and the hotel had no clue when it would be repaired. This was an ugly scene at the reception with people being furious (well it was harsh winter time here)
Breakfast - Long lines especially if you have a tour group in the same hotel - Its a small place and they manage the queue well but it leads to an unpleasant wait (we waited almost 20min)

The hotel is ideally suited to anyone visiting HP's Sant Cugat site. It is within a short driving distance. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area and external noise is not audible inside the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and idea for a short stay. The breakfast is simple but offers a good choice that you don't get bored during your stay.
Nothing really that I didn't like, however I did note that there is limited parking. I stayed during what appeared to be a quiet period, so there was enough spaces available for me each night. But, it seems that the car park could get full during busy periods.

The front desk staff (especially Peter) was very helpful in giving information, helping me with printing documents, getting taxied etc. the room was perfect for our quick trip. The breakfast was simple and clean- exactly what you need before a busy day. The restaurant in front of the facility was super convenient.

The train station to barcelona is about 5 min walk. ( San Joan train station)
30 minutes train from barcelona.
Breakfast good for the price.
Need to call a taxi or take a train to a grocery store close to the hotel. You cannot walk bc of the highway.
You can get groceries when returning from barcelona by train ( best option)

Staff and receptionist are AMAZING! Very helpful. Gave me all the ideas and directions and even helped with a problem in one kd the online reservations. I would stay there just for these people who are incredibly helpful with kind heart and a big smile
