This hotel is very minimal. We at least expected coffee and tea as part of the stay. They charge you for morning coffee. Thought that was unusual for hotels even lowest rating hotels still serve coffee or have a machine in the room.

Wonderful
I stayed at Hotel Venture while visiting family in Sant Cugat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't speak Spanish or Catalan but their English was great. The room was nice and comfortable with a view on Montserrat. They have good breakfast which was convenient on days when I wasn't meeting someone for breakfast in town. The hotel is also close to the rail station which was convenient for going into Barcelona.
My experience was positive. The one thing I can think of is that the hotel is a small distance away from the historic center of Sant Cugat (about a 20-minute walk). I enjoyed the walk and the area seemed very safe so I didn't have a problem walking even at night.

Lovely staff helped me carry my excessive baggaage to my room.
Lovely staff gave me hot water so I could make a cup of tea in my room.
Comfortable bed.
Good air conditioning.
Room and bathroom were all very clean.
2 minute walk to a good selection of restaurants in a funky little place called Mercantic, which is an artsy marketplace.
I felt very comfortable waiting in the lobby until 4pm when my taxi arrived to take me on with my journey.
Only the price. But hey, it's Barcelona on a Friday night in July!

I highly recommend this hotel. My room was clean, spacious, and they even provide water for you. A plus is that the TV in the room has Netflix and the water in the shower gets super hot. Also, the staff was very accommodating when I checked in. Check - in is at 3 but because my flight was early I arrived at 1:30 and it wasn’t a problem.

The location is good if you have something to do in the area. The reception staff was friendly enough.
We found a really long hair inside our breakfast croissant, and the person I reported it to was empathetic and said she would talk to the company they get them from. So that was gross. Otherwise, the hallway carpeting is very stained, one of the two elevators were out of service, the bathroom door stopper is where you put your feet in front of the toilet, and there were other people's hair in the bathtub. There was also a weird greasy kinda of stain on the bathroom counter, so the cleanliness rating isn't very good.

Comfortable. Clean. Great shower pressure. Wonderful mattresses. Big closet. Spacious room. Soft sheets. Many pillows. Great a/c. TV with Netflix (login with your account). Good service. Didn’t try the breakfast- love Viena coffee shop across the street.

Very convenient location, 5 min walk to train which took us to Barcelona in 30 min. Super affordable compared to downtown Barcelona. Very good value for money.
Tiny things about the room set up – for instance, we had a three person room but only one hook in the bathroom for shower towels. Thus, all in all very good, since this is my only complaint :)
