Hotel was in a very beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The best bit is we did not tell them we are here for a birthday trip but when we returned to our room they had left a bottle of champagne with a birthday note saying happy birthday. They got this information from the passport when we checked in that was a very nice touch. The hotel is in a very good location as everything is in walking distance and easy to get around

Location was good for access to Las Ramblas market and the Gothic Square. Front desk attendants were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, however, we appreciated that pastry and cookies were placed in the lobby every evening so we had something to eat with our expresso when we awoke in the morning. We did sit down for breakfast one morning but were in a hurry and it seemed as though we had to wait too long before anyone attended to us so we simply left. Room was comfy and quiet.
Maid service was just OK. We had to call several times as the maid did not replace our dirty towels and our complimentary expresso.

Lovely little cafe round the corner for breakfast.

Stayed in a room with a view of port vell. Unfortunately, it is very noisy outside with rowdy people till 4.30 am.
Pool area - no ambience, no pool bar, looked like it was possibly being renovated, overall it wasn't pleasant experience.

The Hotel was modern and very comfortable with great access to all amenities. The location was also fabulous
The lighting was poor (wife's comment) and at times they failed (could not switch off at night) and the maintenance team had to come and reset. There was a also lack of space for storing clothes (Wife's comment)

In general the hotel was clean
The standard room is very small. The toilet room is a glass shower door that is see through from the waste up and doesnt seal very well, so very limited privacy. The swimming pool and rooftop terrace were closed for renovation and we were not notified until AFTER we arrived and checked in. We were not offered any kind of discount, and considering these amenities were the main reason I booked this hotel, I was very disappointed. The property in general has a nice atmosphere, but given how small the rooms are, the pool and rooftop closure, and the high price, I would recommend finding something larger and a better value for the price.

Staff very friendly , approachable, always welcoming, spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy bed.
Roof terrace being renovated when we were there, this was a big factor in us booking the hotel. We did eventually manage to get on the roof terrace
but bar area was shut and the sound of the decking being "ripped out" meant you couldn't sit in peace. We were unlucky on that part. This being said I WOULD LOVE TO RETURN with the refurb completed.You get great panoramic views from the terrace. I enclose panorama.

Great location . Room a good size . Nice pool. Friendly staff .
The bar on the roof top was closed which we didn't know about before . There was work being done 8n the room opposite us and they left a mess outside the door and a dirty towel there to hide the ruble .We was woken up early on check out when the men started to work . That is unfortunate for us and I am sure will be fixed soon .
