Lovely modern/clean rooms, very friendly staff,
excellent location one block fr Barcelona Cathedral.
Air conditioner issue the first night (during heat wave) but was promptly moved to new room the next morning.

My review has been hidden, but I will continue monitoring this and reposting it as necessary. Hiding the review will not make the issue go away.
And if you are not willing to welcome guests of different races or backgrounds, then please be upfront about it. We have plenty of better options. Do not waste our time, or ruin what should have been a pleasant experience.

A terrible stay — by far the worst hotel experience of our entire trip to Spain.
This was the final night of our trip, and we had hoped to end it on a positive note. Instead, we spent the night dealing with a broken air conditioner and an hotel that failed to properly address the problem.
The air conditioning in our room did not work. After trying to adjust it ourselves, we contacted the front desk.
Instead of sending someone to inspect it, the hotel told us that opening the window had affected the air-conditioning sensor.
But no one had told us that the window could not be opened. There was also no warning or notice near the window.
More importantly, no staff member ever came to the room to inspect the air conditioner.
That is the core problem: the hotel did not actually try to diagnose or fix the issue.
We then asked to change rooms and were told that no other rooms were available. The hotel offered two options:
1. Stay in the same room and receive free breakfast.
2. Move to another hotel, pay for the new hotel ourselves, while the hotel could not even confirm whether our original €400 room charge would be refunded.
Neither was a reasonable solution.
The first option did not solve the problem at all.
The second simply transferred the cost, inconvenience, and risk to the guest.
By then, it was already around 11:30 p.m. Moving hotels would have meant packing everything, arranging transportation late at night, and potentially paying for two hotels without any guarantee of a refund.
That is not a realistic solution.
The room cost around €400 per night.
