Wonderful
The location was great, central and easy to get everywhere I wanted to go, either by walking or public transportation. Eixample is a great neigborhood. The facility was nice, and the breakfast was wonderful, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The staff were very nice and helpful.
My room was a bit small, but that's what I paid for.

Disappointing
location and the staff on the front desk excellent service and very professional
the room to small. air-conditioning is not working all nights in the room very hot
the bath top too high for old people is horrible to take a shower
sometime the thermic valve in the shower was too hot
the shampoo and conditioner very difficult to used and we don't have Towels when we arrive

Location great, close to a few metro stops.
No recycling program in place. Even though we were advised to take short showers, etc, the box of tissues was put in a paper bag! What a waste!!! We paid more for a superior room but didn’t get any perks. Room quite small. We requested a double bed but got 2 singles pushed together but they were on wheels so rolled apart in the night; one of us almost fell between the beds in the middle of the night…

Not like 4 star hotel as rated. Poor selection for breakfast and same for everyday. Room smaller and worse than expected for a suite on 4 star hotel. Not relaly worth for money.

Spacious room for the two of us. Nice queen sized bed with crisp, clean sheets and an extra pull out sofa bed that we used to put our luggage on.
The shower door did not seal properly and water leaked into the bathroom floor.

This hotel had a great location and beautiful lobby and wonderful breakfast. And the people at the front desk were kind and friendly. We needed a fan and they got it for me immediately.
The A/C in our room did not work. It was a bit of a nightmare for us. It was very warm and humid in Barcelona during our stay so it was miserable. Our whole trip we had been able to return to a nice cool hotel room...but not here. I suppose I should have asked for another room. I did report the problem but no-one tried to fix anything, we just got a fan which I asked for. It helped but not enough. And this was the most expensive room of our 3 week trip and the least comfortable. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

The location is brilliant. It is conveniently located near La Ramblas, airport bus stop, metro, other bus stop. The room was spacious, staff was very friendly and helpful, special shout out to Joula and Christina. They offer complementarty tea and coffee at all times which is nice. The hotel is cute and looks really good.
They could have provided body lotion. The room rates are exhorbitant for the facilities. Lastly, our air conditioning was not working properly in the second night.

The location is great! Near everything. The breakfast is great! A lot of selection and the staff are very polite. It’s a beautiful hotel. And clean too.

The location was good and the staff was very good!
The air conditioning didn’t cool well. It was an old unit high up near the ceiling. The maintenance man did come look at it and put in a new filter. It was very hot the days we were there and for what we paid for two nights we expected more.

Very Good
The breakfast was great-- good variety and economical. I highly recommend pre-booking it for your stay. The hotel was pretty much in the center of Barcelona so it was easy to get everywhere by foot or public transportation. While we are not big shoppers, it is in a great part of town for shopping. I also loved the public spaces of the hotel. It managed to feel historical and modern at the same time.
Dont expect a lot of extras in your room. We were able to get an iron and ironing board sent up to us very quickly but there were no in-room extras like lotion or shower caps. They did provide a bottle of water on the first day of our 4-day stay but that was it.
