Overall, the double room with a terrace was spacious. The terrace didn't offer much of a view of the city, but it was nice to spend time there. The check-in staff was nice. It's a decent hotel for tourist attractions.
Room 504 had a terrible sewage smell. When we walked into our room during check-in, the toilet seat was down, and there was no scent. Initially, when you walk in, you don't smell it, so they do a "good job" masking the stench. But after hours, especially when the toilet lid is left up, it smells bad. We were gone alllll evening and arrived super late to an unappetizing scent in our room. It was too late to attempt to change rooms, plus we were leaving the next day. My husband told the staff early in the morning, and they told us to file a claim. We mentioned it again at checkout, and no one seemed interested in helping us with the issue. I strongly believe this room should not be occupied. We were better off sleeping outside on the terrace. I will never return to this hotel. For their price, you can find a better spot - you've been warned.

Centrally located and easily accessible
When asked for water, tea and milk to make our own tea I was informed that it is company policy to only provide 2 small bottles of water complimentary! When asked for tea and milk the staff informed me that they cannot provide. Even had the arrogance to inform me that milk is for hreakfast!!! I had to go to nearby shop to buy milk, water and packet of tea! Never experienced that in all my years of travel from a 4 star hotel! It cost me $4,90 to buy, but this hotel will never see me again due to this stupid policy of them. Penny wise and pound foolish is best way to describe this ignorance!

Location was excellent and the staff on reception were warm and happy to help with any issues. The shower in bathroom was very good both constant temperature and pressure.
In the reception area there is a lovely comfortable space but there was no bar sit and relax with a drink or cap the night off. There is also building work going on which was noisy at times. Our room was down a staircase which felt away from the main rooms.

Breakfast was adequate and well presented. The machines for tea/coffee were insufficient and sometimes not working. The eggs were not hot.
The main elevator was not working so I had to have help with cases which I don’t normally do. The fact that the elevator was still not fixed after one day is unacceptable. The street noise on one night especially was constant and disturbed my rest, preventing sleep. The windows should be soundproofed.

The location was perfect! The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely updated, the beds comfortable, and it was very quiet in the rooms for good sleeping. The breakfast was delicious.
I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Got there super early in the morning, and they were very accommodating. Walking distance to the cathedral and many amazing restaurants. I will definitely stay there the next time I'm in Barcelona.
