We had a fantastic stay at El Avenida Palance in Barcelona! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location couldn't have been betterperfectly situated for exploring the city. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. We highly recommend El Avenida Palance for anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay in Barcelona.

Nothing, good terrace good loby and remaining is so bad
I paid 20 euro more to book a room with 2 bed, but they told me they can give me only double bed. Its written there optional it means optional to me not to them. Its awful experience. Dont plan with your friends if you are not okey and ready to sleep with them in same bed.

They are not problem solver. If you come with your colleague to Barselona pls pay attention to them. I paid 20 euro more to book twin bed room as an optional, but they told me that they can give me double bed. They use this optional word for their corporate :) You could upgrade or cancel my reservation. So today I had to stay with my friend in the same bed.

We had a lovely sized room with a very modern bathroom. The rooftop bar and pool was small, but perfect for just hotel guests. Having swimming towels freely available for guests was a nice touch. The detail and elegance of the whole hotel interior was beautiful and very well maintained. The location was simply perfect, being right in the middle of the tourist spots and right next to the entrance to the metro. But the best part of the hotel was the friendly and very helpful staff. They paid attention to detail, and could all speak English easily.
Battled to get the air conditioning right. It often felt too cold. Otherwise, I really can't think of what was less than ideal at the hotel.

good position close to the city center, close to the subway, kind and helpful receptionists
- very weak continental breakfast with no warm food, just room temperature eggs, sausages and "bacon" that tastes like paper. Breakfast also has no service, can't order anything extra, and dishes are cleaned only after everyone leaves the table. - the room was very obviously not cleaned properly for weeks with dust bunnies all over the place, bottle caps under the table and other rubbish around corners and edges. The room could also really use general maintenance, as the shower drain was clogged, shower hose in the bath couldn't be turned on, a piece of the faucet was basically falling off, etc. - when room service did clean, one of our t-shirts just disappeared - after checking with reception twice, it wasn't found nor compensated for - the ventilation system on the outer edge is incredibly loud, impossible to have a window open at night - both the roof terrace bar and the lobby bar (which is not actually a bar, just a lobby) have an extremely poor selection of drinks and pretty much nothing to eat - breakfast before the flight was the last straw - as we had to leave for an early flight, we needed to have breakfast as soon as possible - we asked at the reception a day prior and were informed it starts from 7:30. We went in at 7:27, a guy comes out from the kitchen and starts hollering at us that it's too soon, only from 7:30. Fair enough, we come back after 7:30, he comes out with the exact same incredibly rude demeanor and starts yelling, hand waving around and arguing with us that it's not open yet - which is pretty hard to understand, as they literally offer 0 service and everything is self-service and it was all already prepared. Absolutely unacceptable and disappointing. If you value good and polite service - more than a "former glory" , you will be better off somewhere else. Although the accommodation was far from cheap, more often than not you would get a much better room and service in any 3-star hotel.
