Breakfast was outstanding. Cava and excellent choices and coffee all included.
The room was outstanding and the breakfast was delicious. The location was great. Why the one star? We planned for months and looked for a hotel with a king size bed, and a heated pool. We also called the hotel to make sure the pool was heated in November. Upon arrival we were put into a room with two twin beds pushed together, and there was no way to control the heat source/our room was reading 74°F 24°C and there was no way to change that no windows it was an interior room. I could barely breathe and it was November. So we asked to change rooms and they put us in the newly renovated rooms finally at 10 PM after a long day and flying. Once in that room, there was only a queen size bed. So we didn’t get the king size bed and we didn’t get a heated pool. It was blocked off. If you’re staying here only pay for the renovated rooms on floor eight and know that there is no heated pool. With all the choices of hotels in Barcelona, I would skip this one in favor of one that has a way to control the temperature in your room. I will give the front desk staff props for Putting us in the renovated rooms cause otherwise we would’ve had to check out. There was no way I could stay in an interior room with such forced hot air and there are very few renovated rooms so buyer beware here.

The decor was beautiful. I traveled alone, but breakfast was mediocre. The scrambled eggs were runny (eww), and there needed to be more selections. The mimosas were amazing!

Superb location, super friendly staff. I really liked the traditional decor, the hotel has a real charm about it. The room was great, comfortable, clean, all the amenities you could want.

Location was great. Easy to walk to restaurant, shops and tourist attractions. Subway stop right at entrance, Lovely views. Staff was exceptionally accommodating. Great service at desk and help with reservations. Bar staff were friendly.

Our room # 453 did not have any blackout curtains, only thin sheer draperies.
