Location was fantastic -- could not have asked for better. In the artsy Born neighbor, it was close to restaurants and shops, but was not loud at night. It was a 10min walk to the gothic quarter, 30 min walk to Sagrada familia, a couple minute walk to the train station. We took several tours, and all met within 10min walk.
From Booking.com, I thought breakfast was included -- but it wasn't. Hallways had this weird modernist setup with fluorescent ropes surrounding each doorway which was very annoying.

Wonderful room (with terrace), very stylish shower, sink, and toilet facilities, loved the mirrors and ceiling moldings. Bed was super comfortable. Terrace was lovely in the evenings. Very quiet too. We were on the back of the hotel so there was no street noise, and there was no noise from any other guests either. Staff was very helpful.
It would have been nice to have a couple of chairs and a light in our room for sitting and talking or reading. (The room was very spacious but there was almost no furniture in one half of it)

Location, cleanliness, style
The room 7 is quite big and pleasant so why not adding a desk ? I had to take some calls and do some work and could only sit on my bed, holding my computer on my legs. Not super convenient.

I liked that it was close to everything. The hotel room was creative and beautiful. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The A/C wasn’t really an A/C. Just pushed around warm air. Tried the thermostat at different settings and that didn’t seem to work. Had to sleep with the balcony door open every night for fresh air. Also, a heads up that the check in was in a separate door/ building would’ve been nice.

The room was semi clean
Everything was bad. A catfish hotel that is essentially a brothel irl. Would not even go with my partner. It’s clearly not made to stay longer than a ’wild’ night - no space to put your bag, no table or chair, no wardrobe. Cant sit up in bed because of ledge on wall. Creepy and tacky lights in the ceiling and let’s not even talk about the entrances to the rooms. Entire hotel appears empty but you can hear absolutely everything through the walls. Paid out-of-pocket for a new hotel after 1 night. Reception Could not give me any confirmation we had left after day one even when prompted and assured me they would CC me in an email to the manager (who supposedly doesn’t live in the same city and isn’t available during the weekend?) to check if they could refund our last night. Since we did end up staying at another chic&basic location, our new receptionist tried to help us out by calling but have had no luck and I have not heard back from them. Do not go - pick chic&basic havana hoos instead, they truly saved our trip! To top it off another couple was demanding a refund just as we went to leave aswell, because of mold in their room.

Unique. Perfect location. Bed was comfy. The amenities were incredible. A whole Set up for tea and herbal loose tea. Wow! I would Highly recommend. The location is superb.
My room was on the smaller side. Hard to have two people using the facilities at same time. But. Shower was excellent. Water temp was super and just wish we had room to put suitcases. Maybe get rid of the round thing in the room and put something that can hold the cases. And maybe another shelf or hooks for book bags.

A Lovely and Artistic Stay I had a really nice stay here! The staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, and the whole place has such an interesting and artistic atmosphere—it even smells good, which I appreciated more than I expected. The breakfast was minimalistic, but fresh, nutritious, and just what I needed to start the day. The only thing I’d mention is that the heater in my room was off during my stay. I totally understand this might be due to the warmer daytime temperatures, but the room did feel quite cold at night. Also, there was some noise from outside, but I quickly got used to it—and with earplugs, I slept like a baby. All in all, it’s a beautiful concept and I would love to come back—especially if they give my room a little warmth next time!
