excellent hotel, great location, walking distance from lots of attractions, close to metro. great room, with excellent breakfast (with long opening hours), friendly staff and good looking pool (didn't try it)

Excellent location. Just 5 minutes walk from airport bus stop, plenty restaurants and shops around. Close to many main attractions. Friendly staffs. Comfortable beds, room is clean.

Hotel Catalonia Square really exceeded our expectations, from the exceptional service at check in, particularly mentioning Kate and Guido, who really gave us the most warmest welcome we could have hoped for. Kate played with our little two year old, and they even arranged for a little goodies tray for her when we checked in later on, which really made our baby's (and our) day. On check out both Kate and Guido helped store our luggage until we were ready to leave, and Guido even helped us getting a taxi to the airport.
The hotel room is spacious, very clean, and very modern and the location is great! I was amazed at how central and close the hotel is to everything. The LA Rambla, Placa de Catalunya and various groceries stores and restaurants/take aways where minutes away on foot. And walking to the other main tourist attractions, including la familia Basilica, was easy even with a two year old in tow. The routes were all very stroller friendly from the hotel.
I would definitely come back to stay at Hotel Catalonia Square in the future.

Lovely staff, very helpful in reception. Excellent location, can walk to most attractions
Bathroom set up is awful. Only glass panel between room and loo with a partial blanked off bit but if someone is sitting in the chair in the room, you can see your friend sitting on the toilet! No fan in shower and basin is out by the beds, not in bathroom..
