Set just off Barcelona’s famous Las Ramblas, 3 minutes’ walk from central Plaza Catalunya, Catalonia Ramblas 4* Sup features a seasonal outdoor pool with a south-facing terrace, a poolside snack bar and a chill-out area. Housed in a modernist building, all bright and spacious rooms come with a flat-screen satellite smart TV equipped with Chromecast App, free WiFi and tea and coffee facilities. Some have a private terrace with a private pool. Room service is available. The spa at Catalonia Ramblas 4* Sup features a relaxation area. It includes a sauna, a steam bath and a hot tub. Massage and beauty treatments are also available. The hotel’s restaurant, Pelai Restaurant, offers Catalan market cuisine. Dishes cooked on a coal stove are available at the Pelai terrace, a rooftop terrace with a chill-out area with panoramic city views. A buffet breakfast is offered every morning and, on weekends, it is available until 11:00. The hotel I booked has an excellent location.
What I didn’t like during my stay was that when I made the reservation and contacted the hotel, I specifically requested proper beds for my children. I paid for a family room, but I was given a sofa bed that had to be opened up for two teenagers, not small children. I also paid directly to the hotel, and the price was higher than the one offered on Booking.com. Despite that, they were not very helpful or cooperative when I contacted them. They simply told me, “This is what we have available.” Thx

Very Good
The Hotel has a great location, quick to get to the stops for City tours etc. Lots of take away's and very good restuarants around the hotel. The room was comfortable with great shower presure. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. It has a swimming pool on the roof with its own bar. Wifi was great as well

Disappointing
Position
We paid almost €3,000 for five nights for our family of five. The room remained at 26–27°C for several nights despite the air conditioning running continuously at its minimum setting. We complained several times but the problem was not resolved. We were even told that perhaps we “felt hot” because there were five people in the room, despite the thermostat objectively showing 26–27°C. Other problems included shower soap not being replenished until we complained, a broken dispenser that was never repaired, a problem with the shower head and inconsistent housekeeping. I also found a live cockroach approximately 3–4 cm long in the hotel gym. Breakfast was not included and cost another €86 for our family. It was good, but in our opinion nowhere near special enough to justify that price. The hotel offered us two separate rooms for the final night, but with three children aged 11, 8 and 7 this was not a practical alternative. Most disappointing of all, I emailed hotel management on September 8th with a detailed explanation of everything that had happened, deliberately giving them the opportunity to respond before leaving public feedback. As of September 16th, I have received no response. At almost €600 per night, the level of comfort, maintenance, cleanliness and service was completely inadequate in our experience. We would not return.

Exelent and expencive both the time.After all the taxes I paid much more over the price that I choose in Booking. In future I want to know the price with the taxes and not to be surprised in the last second.

I booked this for a 2 night stay for our anniversary. We loved the location, very close to everything. The room was very pleasant and large, with a huge bed and great shower. The pool was a feature we really enjoyed too. Breakfast was really excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food with chef on hand to cook eggs/omelettes to order.
I had upgraded to a supreme room hoping it would have had a balcony as shown in the images but was a little disappointed it wasn't as pictured. It was still a really nice room. Our TV didn't work - not that we planned to watch much TV but after reporting this twice that we couldn't get any channels to work, it wasn't resolved during our stay. We didn't feel overly welcomed by the staff attending the bar area whilst waiting for our bags to be stowed away. We were politely asked to move to the sofas, despite there being several tables free. We were very tired after our delayed journey and a minute to sit down was appreciated.

I was stranded in Barcelona with the air flight controllers issue . We booked very late and at short notice . The staff were very busy and kind and helpful . It’s a lovely hotel and didn’t get to enjoy the pool
