It did the job and position was fine.
The young female reception staff were rude, dismissive and uninterested in the check in process and any query we had, which was in complete contrast to the male staff who more than helpful.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to Rey). Excellent location. Comfortable bar area. Breakfast in general good, though the hot dishes might have been more varied. I upgraded at the last moment to a room with a view and balcony. This was probably unnecessary, as the balcony and view were over the main street, so I did not use the balcony. But the sound insulation was excellent—with the windows closed I could hear no trafffic noise (the room was on the fourth floor)
My only disappointment was the one evening meal I had in the restaurant, on my first night. Two very uninteresting dishes—but perhaps, being not yet familiar with Spanish food, I chose badly.

The location is excellent with main landmarks around and full of choices for food & shopping. Also feel safe in the neighbourhood and that is very important.
There was scaffolding next to the room’s balcony . So cannot enjoy the balcony as comfortable as expected,

We selected this hotel because we hoped for a good location to get to sights we wanted to visit and it worked out great. Add to that the super helpful staff, the great restaurant onsite and the convenience of having a lift and it all worked out to be exceptional. We had a balcony off our room that was beautiful and completed the European experience,
No improvement needed here. It was perfect. Major upscale street. Two blocks to hop on off bus stop and Gaudi Batilo. Walking distance to Sagrada Familia, the jewel of Barcelona.
