Very Poor
I liked nothing about this hotel at all sorry, maybe just location.
Rooms are small, smelly, and not properly cleaned. The overall condition of the hotel is far from what you expect when paying 300€ per night. I had read excellent reviews about the breakfast, but honestly, I don’t understand why. It was completely average — nothing special at all — and certainly not worth the hype or the price.
I also believed I had added breakfast during booking, but apparently I hadn’t, and I found that out the hard way. The hotel told me that every single morning I must sign a paper before breakfast, and then pay everything upon checkout. I said this is not a dormitory and I didn’t want to sign daily, but they insisted that this is “the rule.”
It didn’t stop there — the signing turned into a nightmare. Anything I ordered to the room required another signature. Dear hotel staff, if I’m paying 300€ a night for a tiny room, do you really think I can’t pay for breakfast? The whole system felt unprofessional and unnecessary.
In my opinion, this is a very poor and disappointing hotel, and I truly don’t understand how it holds four stars. I would not recommend it.

Loved place and location but when napping people came in my room with hotel bellman . I said hello what are you doing in my room he said sorry . No call from front desk . Then my room keys did not work . No explanation when I went to front desk . What if I was out when I get back people in my room . No spology from hotel

Perfect location for the Gothic, Born quarters & a short walk from the marina, beach, and central square. Lovely hotel, with friendly, professional and attentive staff with a warm welcome, especially from David (Italian) who directed us to a great tapas bar on our late arrival. Room spacious, large shower, room kept spotless & towels changed daily with bedding frequently changed. We would highly recommend staying here.

We are return guests to your hotel because of our excellent stay the previous year. Your hotel is centrally located, your staff is friendly and always willing to help, breakfasts are great and the room, especially the one we just stayed in, was quite comfortable and very quiet.

The staff was exceptional. Marc was very helpful in expediting a somewhat early checkin and also in making recommendations (with directions) for good local food. Pablo was unbelievable. When checking out for the train station to Madrid, Pablo called for a taxi. That did not work, because of 2 large conventions in the city that day. After trying every alternative, he grabbed both of our checked bags with backpacks on the top, and literally ran to a better location to flag down a cab. He got one driven by a friend and we made it to our train!
Just a personal preference, but the heavy hair dryer that required holding the on button continuously was awkward.

Great location for touring. We loved the pool deck for relaxing in the afternoon. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

Location was great. Walked to many attractions and short taxi rides to farther destinations. Staff was pleasant and helpful with recommendations. Rooms were spacious, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and a great shower! Enjoyed our afternoons relaxing by the rooftop pool. There was
construction outside the hotel but didn’t bother our stay at all. Would definitely stay there again.

This property location is their main selling point. You can walk to so many places and the access is fairly easy. I would recommend to stress to the taxi driver that it is accessible, some of them will try to leave you further down pretending there is no entrance , but there’s definitely one, two ways to get right to the lobby.
Just the sketchy taxi driver from the airport that pretended only access available was two blocks away.

The central location and the staff on arrival
I specifically asked to have a quiet room assigned which was NOT on the main street 2 months before arriving when I made the booking. Not only did I get a room overlooking the main street in front of the hotel but it was also right in front of a massive and loud construction site. The window did not close and shut properly which meant we could hear the drilling and jackhammers as if they were in the room with us. Very disappointing considering I had specifically requested to avoid this 2 months before. Also not a great birthday gift (as I checked in on my birthday, but not that anyone in the hotel noticed…).
We only got one complimentary bottle of water on arrival and could not get another one the following day. Tap water is usually drinkable in Barcelona but the one in the room had a strong taste of chlorine. When I enquired with the reception the staff were pretty dismissive about it as if I was being greedy…
The staff on arrival were great. Especially Pablo the Bellman. But most other interactions after felt like the staff were indifferent about their guests.
Rooms and facilities are old and badly maintained.

Hotel was located in a perfect area of the city. Lots to do and see or just hangout in front of the cathedral. Hotel breakfast buffet was fresh & delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed having the pool to relax and give a break between site seeing.
The glass door on the bathroom is a bit odd but I've experienced this in other European hotels.
