The Catalonia Castellnou hotel is very well located in Barcelona’s Sarrià-Sant Gervasi area, a quiet and elegant residential part of the city, close to the Sarrià neighborhood and within walking distance of many cafés, bars, and restaurants. 
For food lovers, the area offers a wide variety of cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance. 
For sports lovers, there are nearby facilities for padel and other activities, which is a nice advantage for active travelers. 
For architecture lovers, the location is also a very good base for exploring Gaudí’s work. During our stay, we were able to walk to at least three Gaudí landmarks, which made the area especially enjoyable for us. 
For technology lovers, a particularly unique attraction nearby is the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where the MareNostrum supercomputer can be visited in a former chapel. It is definitely worth seeing. 
The hotel itself is a modern building with a modest but practical exterior and interior.
The rooms were clean and conveniently equipped with everything my wife and I needed for a comfortable seven-night stay.
What we liked most was the hotel staff. Everyone was very helpful, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile.
One small improvement that could make the hotel even better would be to provide bathrobes and slippers for guests.

Bathroom was fantastic- modern and spacious.
The lobby smelled like somebody was covering up a sewage smell, our first room smelled like cigarette smoke, and one candidate replacement room smelled like cat urine. Our actual room did not smell, but it was the tiniest thing outside of rural Japan. The bed was up against the wall so one person had to crawl down to the end to get out and it felt like they had carved the room out of a supply closet.

It was a quiet neighbourhood, clean, nice service. I loved tge shower and bath, the room was also a good size and layout.
Our room was on the bottom floor, so a lot of noise came through from common areas at certain times. The bathroom has no ventilation to let the steam escape.

Location
I was contacted by the hotel in the afternoon to tell me that I needed to be relocated in a different hotel(other side of BCN) i chose the hotel for the location, they finally put me in a room downgraded with strong smell of tobacco.

Location and staff are great. Rooms are very small and basic but clean.
The bathroom has a flimsy glass door, which is as if there was no door, no privacy and what for? A normal door would have taken up any more space. The hair dried overheated halfway through the use. If they changed these 2 things, it would be a great improvement.
