Very convenient to restaurants and shops
The room was the smallest room we have ever stayed in. No matter where you turned around you hit something. This is a 80 a night place. Id never stay here again

Central location. Close to everything, including subway for morning transfers to airport.
Had to drag luggage up a flight of stairs. Got locked out of the property at night - had to wait 10 mins to get in as no one on front desk and no way of scanning self in.

Staff very helpful getting our luggage to our room on the 5th floor.
Would have liked to know we were on the 5th floor and that the elevator only went to the 3rd floor. We are older folks, 65+ years. The climb was a bit much but the room was nice. And staff helped us getting our luggage into and out of our room .

The location is excellent and the room was very nice for the group
The cleaning service was really bad. The cleaning crew tried to clean twice, one day at 4pm and the other 6pm, and were really unpolite when asked whether they could come back in half an hour as our group was getting ready for dinner. We stayed for 3 nights and it was never cleaned.

The location is excellent, with the airport bus and hop-on-hop-off tourist bus stops directly on the square. We were also able to walk easily around the centre of Barcelona from the hotel, along las ramblas, for example, or to other sites we wanted to visit such as the Picasso Museum. The breakfast at the hotel was also excellent and we chose to eat there every morning rather than go out to a cafe. It was a very enjoyable, relaxed stay.
The room was on the small side and the hotel might have been better at providing information about the facilities at the hotel (we didn't realise till near the end of our trip that there was a roof top seating area/bar) and what is available to see/do/visit nearby. However, we had done a lot of our own research prior to our trip, so this was perhaps less necessary.

Great location, it's an old building with great charm, clean, comfortable stay, room was quiet, staff were helpful and spoke English. Nice breakfast.
