Friendly and helpful staff, unbeatable location near attractions, shopping, and public transportation including Aerobus a couple minutes walk from the front door. Great beds (not as firm as many other Spanish hotel beds). Room had a refrigerator and Nespresso machine.
Building facade was entirely covered by an advertisement due to some kind of construction; we had a room that would have been overlooking the plaza but the window was covered by cellophane so we couldn't see anything or get outside air, which was extremely disappointing. Room was also on the small side, making it difficult to navigate with just two regular carry-on sized bags. Hotel is also a little worn, but the location makes up for it.

The location is good for what I was in Barcelona for
There are lots of small things and details that are not to like. The rooms and hotel in general is tired and not in my view currently befitting of a 4* rating. The walls in the room were marked with wallpaper dog eared and peeling, grouting and sealant clearly worn…all things which detract from the experience, and make it appear unclean (although it was indeed well cleaned). The single lift was not working at times. Bed was not the most comfortable (on the soft side). Overall I was expecting a much nicer hotel based on the rating and images, but the reality fell short on many details, and I would not return for the price which was paid. I believe the rooms are in need of refurbishment for a 4* hotel.

Good central location, easy access to transport
WARNING: When making the booking or before my arrival I was not informed that building works were being carried out and that the entire front of the building was covered with scaffolding and hoarding. The hotel advertised views of Plaça de Catalunya but unfortunately all windows to the front were covered with plastic and could not be opened making it very claustrophobic.

I knew I have a room with a tiny window up to the ceiling, which is fine for one night. My room was a bit shabby, but fine anyway. I did not like the towels, the textile itself

The hotel is in a great location. The metro is close by and plenty of Taxis out front. The bus from the airport dropped us off near Hard Rock Cafe, which is across the street from the hotel.
The front desk staff is outstanding. We will definitely stay there again if we make it back to Barcelona
The only thing I would recommend changing is to have breakfast included with your reservation
