The location was great, close to the subway and bus stations. The balcony was a plus in summer Friendly staff Would stay here again
There was a slight sewerage smell in the bathroom but this seems to be a general problem in barcelona. The street might get noisy at night would not recommend for light sleepers.

It could be a good hotel but they requested online check-in making it mandatory. I guess this is to force you to double pay tourist taxes without giving you a receipt. [I have already paid city tax to Booking.com.) The "mandatory payment" may be to cover an illegal charge without paying taxes. At least, I believe so. By the way, mandatory are only death and taxes.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and spacious with a powerful shower. It was off the main road which made it quieter. The breakfast room was a nice surprise and served a small offering of hot scrambled egg and bacon and lots of pastries and breads. Especially liked the freshly squeezed orange juice.

Food was expensive for what they served. No place to put clothes, and room to small for the price. This is the second time i used booking and was disappointed in the hotels booking represents.
