Wonderful
wonderful hotel in terms of cleanliness, service, and warm hospitality. The stay was very comfortable, and I will definitely repeat the experience again.
It may not be ideal for elderly guests with mobility issues, as the stairs could be tiring for them.

Very clean with beautiful gardens and great heated pools . The staff in particular was very friendly and helpful
The quality of the food and in particular the meat and the seafood was quite mediocre . Also the French fries were not baked enough and not crispy . The salads and the fruits selection were ok . In particular I want to thank the chef preparing the omelets in the morning for his impeccable service .

The staff was competent, nice, and helpful. Fares, Yoannis, Alaadin, etc. The food was varied and good quality. The several restaurants were nice. Our favorite one was Jewels. The pool, the beach, the view. The activities: stretching, yoga, zumba. The hotel has a spa. You can negotiate prices. We had the all inclusive package, so food and drinks were all covered.
We booked a tour of Mount Sinai independently. We were picked up at 8 pm and returned to the hotel the following day in the early afternoon. Before the pick-up, we asked the hotel reception if we could get food to take away with us. There was a misunderstanding between the reception staff and the restaurant staff at Jewels. The reception staff said it was possible, but the Jewels restaurant staff said it was not. They didn't have any takeaway containers. In the end, we put some food in a Ziploc bag and a Tupperware container that we had brought from Paris. They need to work on resolving this issue.
Also, please be aware that a large proportion of the other guests were Russian. My husband had an issue with a Russian family who started yelling at him in Russian (eventually someone translated) because they wanted him to move from the chair where the sun was hitting to one where it didn't. (I reiterate: my husband had been sitting there for several minutes already, but they acted as if they owned the place, being rude and disrespectful.) Their yelling didn't stop, so my husband left by telling them "is this the way you do it in Ukraine?". He chose not to fight against them, even though he was right, as they had already ruined his chance to relax. Be prepared to deal with this kind of behaviour and don't let them monopolise just because they can.

Take the reviews on other platforms with a grain of salt. Many reviews come from new accounts and similar wording keeps appearing (“chicken, fish, lasagna, desserts”). Staff ask for reviews and sometimes stand nearby while you write them. Make of that what you will.
Pros:
Check-in is smooth. You sit down, have a drink, they take passports and handle everything.
Room 8114 (Posh Club jacuzzi) was a corner room so very private. Spacious, modern, comfortable. European and universal plugs.
Room cleaned daily, towel animals were a fun touch.
Large terrace with jacuzzi and great views of the main pool and Red Sea. No “no use after 10pm” rules.
Room right by the adults-only pool was ideal.
Staff friendly and attentive. Tip once and the pharaoh treatment begins.
Adults-only pool genuinely kid free, lifeguard enforces it. Quiet and well managed. Relaxed music there, louder at main pool.
WiFi good in main areas (weak by our jacuzzi).
Cocktails solid across all bars.
Pools heated to 30°C.
Late breakfast 10:30–12 though limited.
24/7 bar upstairs. Shisha $13.
Public toilets consistently clean.
Jacuzzi went murky once, fixed quickly.
Adult-only loungers very comfortable. Main pool loungers less so.
Balloons and cake on my birthday. Rose on Valentine’s.
Complimentary late check out for Posh Club.
Constructive points:
Towel card system feels dated for a 5* resort but no 6am towel wars.
One robe per person is stingy with a jacuzzi. Extra robes or towels would elevate the stay.
Some areas need fresh paint.
QR codes everywhere for menus but no direct ordering option.
Minibar stocked but lacking non-carbonated choices.
Staff check in daily but language gaps make feedback difficult. Smiling and saying “good” becomes easiest.
Fire alarm randomly goes off in the buffet restaurant.
Cons:
Reception does not exchange currency. Lobby ATM repeatedly failed when attempting USD to EGP exchange. We withdrew by card and were told to walk ~10 minutes outside to exchange cash.
Buffet service feels mismanaged. Too many supervising, not enough clearing plates or refilling drinks. 15 minutes with an empty plate is giving 2*, not 5.
Cigarettes at the on-site minimarket wildly overpriced (8,000 EGP for 20 packs). Buy elsewhere.
A la carte menus and spa prices hard to access unless you dig through the website. Spa pricing unreasonably high. Valentine’s Day menu pricing laughable.
Plenty of food options but quality won’t impress a fussy eater. My partner is a head chef and wouldn’t return for the food.
A 5* anticipates needs. Sunrise Diamond didn’t. No seafood wipes, small touches missing. Cutlery or napkins often forgotten.
The theatre seating area feels dated and uncomfortable.
Starters and meats near chef stations often unlabeled. Staff would explain if asked but a 5* should eliminate the need to ask.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Mr. Rafat was especially helpful and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place.

We liked everything. Had swim out room. Room was spacious, very clean, clean kettle to make your own tea or coffee, water, fridge. Loved that it went to pool which can only be used by people staying in the section, about 6 rooms total. It overlooked the main pool with lots of activities.
Was traveling with the group and we were placed together upon request. I was grateful to staff for accommodating

The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely did their best to make us happy throughout our stay. Due to our late-night arrival because of our flight schedule, they welcomed us with refreshments as soon as we arrived and upgraded our reservation to all-inclusive, including breakfast for the first day of our holiday. Thank you, Dear George and all the staff.

The staff are very nice and attentive . Ahmad Moustafa and Mikhail was very comfortable in answering all the questions we had . Want to highlight Ibrahim from the restaurant , always attentive , always offering options and remembering us. We also enjoyed massage sessions in the spa . The hotel itself has all facilities to stay in and to get in the trap of touristic staff.
It may be seen in some certain areas , that hotel is getting “tired”, in room conditions and some things in the restaurant.

I like how the place was very accomodating to the tourist. The staff; specially in Posh Club were very friendly and very respectful with the guess. Big thanks to Ms. Honey who had been so friendly and had assisted us in all our request. Thank you for being kind. I've made the right decision of choosing Sunrise Diamond during our stay specially we've travel all the way from Dubai. It was the right spot to relax.
I cannot think of anything i did not like during my stay. It was an enjoyable stay
