I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner can speak Japanese, which was very helpful for me. The breakfast was delicious. I could choose between tea or coffee. The staff were very kind and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.

I am rating this as a 10 on the basis that it more than met any expectation that I had for this price range. The rooms were spotlessly clean, breakfasts were simple but filling and the staff were always warm, friendly and helpful, making this genuinely feel like a home away from home. They had a Christmas eve party, which the owner invited us to along with the staff and other guests where they provided music and food for us all. Indeed, everyone made it their business to go that extra mile to make us feel at home throughout our stay. Definitely one of the best budget to mid range options in Luxor.
Not really a complaint but like many hotels and hostels in Egypt, the proprietor wants to be paid in cash with US dollars. Make sure you have the amount available to ensure that this isn't a problem for you.

Very good staff! I like all staff here, except the boss.
All the staff here are helpful, polite, and easy-going.
The room was also quite nice.
I don't like the boss, he is not polite, not easy-going and only friendly to Japanese. I don't recommend none-japanese people to talk or deal with him. If you don't have USD, He also wanted to charge a 1:50 rate(usd to egp) if we pay by card using egp.. the actual amount of egp you pay by card will be waaaaaay too much if you don't have cash. We were quite unhappy about it.

Good central location in luxor, The room was a good size. Great fresh breakfast
The room was very dated and the bed was on a tilt, although the hotel staff were great with a family feel i didn't like some of the behaviour. They wanted USD in cash but when I had to pay in EGP they charged me the black market rate not the banking rate which meant I was charged 30% more for my stay. I also tried to book a day trip which no one got back to me about after chasing numerous times and being promised it would take place. Room was very loud not from outside noise but from inside crashing and banging.

We were going to stay just one night and we changed our mind because the staff was very friendly and they treat us really well. The breakfast was the better we had in Egipt and included with the room. Also was the cheapest hotel in the area and just one minute away from luxor temple and the Nile.
They help us with the transfer to Aswan and with anything we need.

We choose the Venus Hotel based on its previous reviews for location and breakfast. We wanted somewhere close to the temples and with a breakfast that would set us up for the day ahead. We were not disappointed. We were met by Mohamed on reception like we were old friends, and he was so helpful in arranging our excursions.
Aladin, who took us on our tour of the West Bank, was incredible, so kind, friendly and educated, his knowledge of Egyptology and Hieroglyphics can not be faulted. The man who ran the breakfast room was so attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, was prepared freshly for us and was very satisfying. .Mineral water was always available to us, and we also ordered some lunches which were just as tasty as the breakfast. When we booked our stay we informed the staff that we would be celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday on the day we checked in. They made special plans just for her and made her special day one she will remember always. We are forever grateful to all the staff and especially Mohamed who took great care in making arrangements for her. Thank you to all the staff for helping us celebrate this happy occasion and for their kind service during our stay. We will certainly stay here again if we are in Luxor and would recommend it to friends.
There were a few things in the hotel that were under repair, but the staff were working very hard on renovating the building, so the facilities are under improvement, and there was nothing that inconvenienced us.

close to center. But too much noise outside, we couldnt sleep. The guys were sincere.
Toilet was broken, not working. No soap for handwash. Dirty bathroom. Tried to give currency rate as 1 dollar to 50 EGP, where the actual was 30. 1:50 instead 1:30. The guy on the reception shouted to us.

Me and my wife loved our stay in this hassle-free hotel, the staff went above and beyond for us. Jimmy was a super host, Mossad was incredibly friendly and all of the rest of staff were always available and nice.
Location was perfect for us since it’s not far from the bus station and major attractions on east-side. For the west side the hotel provided us with a very friendly driver (Saied) which took us to the best sites and gave us some interesting insights for a good price. The roof terrace has a fantastic view perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening.
Overall this was the perfect place for us and if we’ll be back we will definitely return to stay at Venus Hotel.

We went to the Venus hotel to discover Louxor our own way, outside the stereotyped tourism.
The staff advised us on how to find our way and how to feel confortable in this busy and over-touristic city.
His recommendations, and the few arabic words he teaches us made a big difference and helped make our overall experience very positive.
We enjoyed the Egyptian food served at the hostel’s restaurant. We also had filling breakfast, with fresh juice and minute made omelette by the attentive chef.
The place is very busy during the late day and quiet at night and in the morning hours.
The room had a balcony from where we watched the amazing activity in the street and the souk (local market).
Going thru the “Bazar” next door, it took us 10 min to reach the Nile.
We are travelling with our dog and were happy to find people who are real dog’s lovers.
We’ll go there again !
arriving there with our car was quite a challenge (but the staff helped for the parking and further movements)

Great atmosphere is in the hotel, every person is very friendly. Especially Mousad, who was very kind and attentive, served us great breakfast and took us on a boat ride on Nile river, which was very special experience. Easy to arrange tours with the host. Location is excellent, close to the Luxor temple and market. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable.
WiFi was sometimes slow. No curtains in the shower.
