Great Location
When you go outside of the hotel you are approached by a lot of outside sellers trying to get you to do carriage rides, taxis, and offer you different things. I do not advise. They will stalk you during the entirety of your stay.

Great location for staying in Luxor. About 20 mins walk to the Luxor Temple. Easy to get taxis to all the sights. Also the hotel has a boat jetty so if you get a water taxi or felucca they can drop you off at the hotel.
Fabulous buffet breakfast, both hot and cold items. Lots of fruit, pastries, yogurt, breads and freshly cooked to order omelettes, waffles, pancakes etc. There are also sausages, potatoes, rice, vegetables, hummus, tahini, felafel -the list is endless and all of the highest quality.
The service in the restaurant is excellent, the customer service is exceptional.
In the evening there are Thai, Italian, Lebanese restaurants and a buffet. Great choice of dishes for each course, all so tasty.
Our executive front Nile view room was fantastic, free wifi which was very quick, huge balcony and great views. Very clean and liked the kettle with teas and coffees and the 2 complimentary bottles of water each day. Useful fridge too. Also I'm sensitive to noise, not a problem here as there's really excellent sound isolation, didn't hear any noise from other rooms whatsoever.
In the evenings there's live background music for a few hours, very enjoyable whilst enjoying cocktails.

Superior room claims to be 600+ sqft but that number includes the huge terrace, the room itself is less than 400 sqft i think. it is false advertising, kind of scammy. If I knew, I would not choose the upgrade.

The room itself was actually very nice, especially the courtyard view, which made the stay feel calmer and more pleasant. Late-night room service was very good, and we also enjoyed the evening entertainment after long, busy sightseeing days in Luxor. The hotel has good bones and there are definitely parts of the experience that feel upscale.
What let the stay down completely was the front desk. We had to arrive one day late because the road from Hurghada to Luxor was officially closed due to bad weather, and we informed the hotel in advance. We were not asking for anything unreasonable - just a simple adjustment and refund for the first unused night.
Instead, it became far more difficult than it should have been. We asked to speak to a manager when we checked in on Friday, but nobody properly dealt with the issue until Sunday. In between, communication was vague and confusing, including a strange WhatsApp message, and the front desk staff were not particularly warm, welcoming, or helpful. We did eventually receive the refund, but only after spending 3 to 4 hours of our holiday chasing something that should have taken 15 minutes.
By the end, it was no longer about the money. It was the principle, the lack of professionalism, and the feeling that guest concerns were not taken seriously. What made it even more disappointing is that the matter only seemed to get proper attention after our friends, who had booked a separate room, left negative reviews about their own experience. That is not the level of hospitality I expect from a Steigenberger property.

We just loved this hotel's location on the Nile. Unlike other hotels, they have lounge chairs with umbrellas looking out at the river just beyond the pool. You can spend hours watching the activity, from launching balloons at sunrise to a parade of boats to the feluccas at sunset. They have a tour company on site for your activities. The restaurants are good and the staff is so nice. We highly recommend this property. After our early touring we would come back and eat breakfast looking out at the Nile and then basically spend the rest of the day enjoying the scene, minus a trip to the gym or swimming laps in the pool.

Location is good, breakfast buffet was very good. Restaurants are also good and provide a lot of variety since they have Italian food, Thai food, and Lebanese food
Room was very old, probably from the 80s or 90s and hadn’t been updated since then. The bathroom was very small, shower room is just big enough to stand in, cannot even rotate. The shower was about the size you would find in most RVs. Room shape was also awkward, very old carpet.

The pool and restaurant outside area and bars were so relaxing by the water. Great place to have a drink and food and watch the sunset.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
They have a travel company right in lobby that can book drives to airport and excursions.
They use perfume in the rooms and it was too strong for me.
