I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with the hotel hairdresser. After I asked about pricing, she began openly mocking my Lebanese accent and imitating my actions to another staff member (Mahmoud from the pool). They were laughing at my expense right in front of me while she made derogatory comments about me to him. This behavior is rude, sneaky, and completely unprofessional. It made me feel very unwelcome. (She is the one without the higab)

Our stay at Sonesta St. George made our experience in Luxor exceptional. The hotel was super comfortable, clean and well located. Being able to relax by the pool after the exhausting (but fascinating) tours was extremely important to recharge to the next day. I would like to reinforce how amazing the staff was with us, from the doorman to the waiters by the pools. The housekeeper Nardine was espetacular and made all efforts to adjust all our needs in terms of check-in and check-out. I cannot

This was as close to a perfect hotel stay as possible. We stayed for 5 nights while we explored Luxor and opted for the half board option. The service was outstanding. Everyone from guest relations, to Sayed at housekeeping - who made beautiful towel structures delighting my son were warm and friendly and made our stay special. The best thing about Sonesta was the food. We are foodies, and Sonesta did not disappoint. Their grilled meats at dinner were smoked and juicy (not dried out!) and we were addicted to their baba ganoush and hummus. The pita was homemade. It was so delicious. Hats off to head chef Mohammad who kept us well fed and happy and to service staff Nagby and Taruk. Definitely get the half board option, the food is seriously good and better than the Steinenbergers we stayed at in Egypt.

From the moment you arrive, you'll notice the friendly, professional and courteous staff.
The hotel is exceptionally clean with a distinctive interior and a stunning view of the Nile. The housekeeping team also deserves praise.
The hotel's location is convenient to all attractions on the east bank of the Nile, with easy access to public transportation.
The breakfast is among the best in the world.

We had a fantastic stay in Luxor. The hotel has brilliant facilities and the staff go above and beyond. Osama in the bar is brilliant and so welcoming and Nagha by the pool is always when needed and could not do more. Both are an asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend this place for a stay in Luxor!

The huge bed was very comfortable. We were upgraded to a room with a cool shower/jacuzzi combo. The view and pool werd great. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly.

Smaller in footprint than I expected when I booked and compared to some of the other resorts and 5 star hotels there. Should have proper coffee machines in room (I don’t expect 5 star properties to have Nescafé pouches).

Our floor was renovated so the room was nice, but small. Breakfast was lovely.
Flies everywhere at the pool, the gym was very dated and lacked weights. The food was mediocre at the pool and took a long time. The turf was not pretty.
