Very Good
The people were very nice and the breakfast was very good. It is a good value for the money.
Sometimes there was not hot water for the showers. Hotel did their best to fix the issues.

The food was fabulous. A bonus was that we were able to eat raw vegetables because they were washed with purified water. The outdoor dining area was also lovely. Whenever we needed a driver, Mahmoud and his son Mohamed arranged for us quickly. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is well located near the West Bank sites, and walking distance from one ruin. We would happily stay there again!
we really don’t have any complaints.

Wonderful
Host Abdu helped with anything including cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. He is always there and traveling alone with a 4 year old to feel that extra layer of warmth and protection. Bird song was the background sound, surrounded by farm land and a picturesque 20mins walk to amazing Medinet Habu temple, watching hot air balloons rise up with the sun from the roof overlooking valley of the kings.

The longer you stay, the more Nour El Balad grows on you. This is largely due to Abdul Radhi and his assisting staff who were exceptional in making our stay such a very pleasant and memorable one. Nothing is too much trouble for Abdul Radhi: he arranged taxis, phoned tour companies for us, gave us advice and - most of all - prepared and cooked the most delicious local food. We enjoyed every meal we had there - and the dinners varied every night. The semi-rural location also made our stay a relaxed one. It's important I think to get away from the frenzy of many parts of the city and some tourist locations. The rooms at Nour El Balad are clean and everything in the room worked for us. We truly want to thank Abdul and Mohammed for their wonderful hospitality and the superb support they give us in helping with our daily arrangements. Abdul is one the best managers I have come across.
I think the guesthouse needs one staff member whose job is focused on cleaning and maintaining the common areas. The furniture on the roof needs cleaning and organising. The stair rails need a good dusting (perhaps more than once a day). And the upstairs corridors needs to be swept daily. These are small things but I believe they will make a big difference to guests' first impressions of the guesthouse. We missed having Wifi in our bedroom but we understand that there are limitations that are not the fault of anyone at the guesthouse.

Good vibes all around. Beautiful old style house with a lot of charm, and care. beautiful views on mountains and fields, very peaceful location, garden. Delicious dinner feast if you ask them to cook extra. Would definitely stay again! Sweet family run business run by warm hearted people
We could only pay in cash, not a big deal, just something to be aware of and organize in advance.

Nour el Balad is an absolute gem tucked away from all the crowds. The guesthouse is a traditionally built home with lovely little details and decorations everywhere, and palm furniture including the beds. The breakfast included is delicious, but make sure to stay for lunch or dinner — the roast duck and molokhiya are absolutely outstanding! Luxor’s restaurant scene isn’t amazing and we ended up eating dinner at Nour al Balad every night of our week-long stay. Abdullah and his team offer warm hospitality and can also help with transfers and taxis as needed. We have stayed there twice now and can’t wait to return!!

A nice family place with large rooms and a garden, fantastic breakfasts and dinners. Medinet Habu temple within walking distance, bike rental next door. Quiet neighbourhood, some 4 km from the public ferry.

This is probably my favourite accomodation in all of Egypt. The balloons literally crossed on top of us and you are so close the attractions that makes this place unbeatable. What I found the mot amazing is definitely the food, breakfast and dinner I had there and would absolutely recommend, cooked with such talent and from their own garden (or community), you can't beat the taste, made with generous proportions the price for it is very fair. The bedroom is beautiful and immerse you in the area, the accomodation itself has such a distinct look. Staff is very friendly, this is a place of peace and don't be fooled by those who say it is hard to access the area or get taxis there, this is not true at all.
I wish they had better rates for their tours and transfers so I wouldn't book with others, but that is a small issue. Overall this is my favourite accomodation in Egypt by far.

This is a little oasis after a long day of tomb visiting. The rooms are spacious, beds are good. There is a rooftop terrace to watch the sunset and a nice garden. Abdul cooks the best meals so no need to find dinner at night. After being in Egypt for a few weeks it is nice to get home-cooked food with vegetables.
The location is a bit out of the way so if you do not have your own transportation you will need a taxi to go anywhere. We rented bikes from the place next door so had our own transportation. However, the bikes are not very good so I would recommend renting them elsewhere. Wifi is not so good in the rooms, but available in the front area.

Silence, peace, host, food, birdsong. Everything in the best order. If we come to Luxor again we will only stay here.

Abdelrady was really welcoming and helpful. The place is very nice and charismatic, and it's located very close to key archaeological sites like the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Colossi of Memnon, etc. Really good value for money. We had breakfast and dinner there, and we were very pleased with the food as well.

Wonderful
Very simple, but very nice and romantic looking hotel, with a shady garden in front of it. Abdul, the host, is a very nice and helpful person. Located in a few minutes from the Medinet Habou temple.
Lack of hot water in the morning, it seems to by heated only by sun. The door in the toilet didn't close properly
