I stayed a few extra days at the New Memnon hotel due to its excellent location so I will add an extra comment or two (see previous more extensive comments). The hotel is only a 3-5 minute walk from the the Memnon statues. What many may miss is that the statues (ever expanding as archeologists find more buried and stand them up) are illuminated at night. It is an easy walk to take very nice night photos .... it is the cool, safe and no tourists. Also, one can see in the distance all the other tombs and monuments lit up; one can walk closer to others or go to the roof of the hotel for panoramas. Or just have a juice or tea at adjacent cafes and observe while relaxing.

There was so much to see from this easy location that I stayed longer than I anticipated. Note that many tourists only go to the major sites and they can be crowded. But this hotel being so close to Valley of the Kings one can miss crowds if one goes early. Also, walking distance are Tombs of the Nobels with very few people to but can rival Valley of the Kings tombs and you can have to yourself. Also Habu temple is walking distance and could rival Luxor temple but almost no tourists. And finally, if one crosses the river, facing the Nile from the east side, the Luxor Museum is a marvel....a mini GEM but relaxing as only a few tourist go there. The lighting is just perfect for photography.....I believe that the architect was Italian.

I usually do not write reviews but in this case I was pleasantly surprised so I will do so. Owner Mr. Sayed runs a very tight ship, down to the smallest detail. For about 26 rooms and restaurant and pool he has a large staff of about 15. All are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are very large with nice balconies, clean with a/c as needed (although evening breeze is often enough), very hot water, fridge and coffee maker. The pool is well maintained and comfortable, the food excellent with a dedicated chef .....and very, very clean. I think for the above reasons plus the convenient and quiet location I have seen a number of foreign Egyptologists stay here and had some nice conversations. Anything required, whether it be reliable and safe transport to archeological sites, or to nearby balloon sunrise trips, all can be arranged by Mr. Sayed. Overall, a good value and a pleasant stay.

Location is very good. Its near the Memnon and Habou. Nice and relaxed place. Stayed there for 5 nights and can easily recomend it. Roof top view and pool where you can relax after hot day. Owner is the best and personell is relaxed. Food is tasty, fresh and clean. If you want to stay in West Luxor this is the place to be. Rooms are spaceus and if possible book garden view room. Its nice.

By far the best stay in our Egypt tour! The hotel is located in a quiet part of the West Bank, away from the noise of the East Bank. There is a beautiful view from the rooftop, and you are very well located to visit the Valley of the Kings. We left early in the morning and were the first to enter the gates.
But most importantly, the service is absolutely first class. The owner, Sayed, is super friendly, attentive, and hospitable. He helped us arrange everything seamlessly, from transport to our next stop to organizing tours, including connecting us with a great guide who made our experience even more special.
We especially enjoyed chatting with him after dinner over a cup of tea. It made the stay feel incredibly personal and memorable. We can definitely recommend staying here!
Everything was great! We truly have no complaints whatsoever.

Great location for relaxing, view, proximity to Valley of the kings and all other sites. Great view of hot air balloons.Breakfast included. They even prepared a take away breafast if our early flight. Staff met us at 3am with a huge box of breakfast items.Felt safe and welcomed. Staff felt like family. The gardens were lovely. The surrounding agriculture was beautiful.
They upgraded us to a garden and pool view. So amazing ti sit on the balcony and feel the sun on our faces.
Wish we had more time to stay. Egyptian people are so kind.

The owner was very friendly and went above and beyond on many occasions to help us.
For example, we were late for breakfast by almost an hour, and he asked the staff that they prepare full breakfast for us and fresh coffee. This is something very rare.
Also, the hotel is very quiet during the night, something we greatly appreciated coming from noisy nights in Cairo during Ramadan!

Very Good
The owner and staff were really really great- for that alone I would give this place a 10/10. The owner arranged taxis and even had someone come into cook when we got there very late for dinner on our arrival. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.
This is also a great location to be fairly close to everything. Thanks for the stay!

The place is quiet. The location is perfect as it’s next to the memnon statue and you can see the valley of the kings and hot air balloons. And there’s a restaurant and many shops nearby. There are rabbits in the garden and the rooms are huge and comfortable with hot water and everything. Breakfast is great and the manager is very nice. Lots of friendly staff if you need anything.
Might be hard to get to from the airport. The cost of transportation is 400 egy pounds and it takes some time to get to the busy areas.

We stayed in a spotlessly clean, safe, and quiet place in Luxor. They have an excellent breakfast. The staff were attentive from booking to check-out. It has a trustworthy owner. I would definitely stay here again.
