nothing. They would not let us check in for one night. They left us to fend for ourselves and did not help us. We were looking for a local hotel for hours after looking for their remote docking location for an hour. Total nightmare for my party of four adults and three young children.

The yacht, due to its size, felt special from the moment we stepped aboard. We got to know the restaurant manager and bar manager well and enjoyed the fun. The food is amazing. Upper deck is a great place to relax in the sun. The Nile is very beautiful.
Nothing comes to mind. If we did not like something, we raised it at the time, and it was quickly resolved.

Food is the best that we have had in Egypt. Five course a la carte evening meal. The staff are very helpful and create a happy atmosphere. Room was very nice. The cruise is a great way to relax. The sightseeing was also excellent. Top deck was never crowded.
We had a problem with the transfers at both ends of the trip. Driver was an hour late on the day that we disembarked. Luckily we had time to spare but it could have been stressful.

Breakfast food is delicious and staff are very polite and accommodating. Location is accessible and comfortable. Clean and convenient environment. I would recommend this Nike cruise to my friends and family
The internet was very weak and not available most of the time on the ship. Spa room needs to be fragranced with some soothing music in the background but the Massage lady is well experienced and pleasant.

Disappointing
The restaurant is good.
I would like to mention our tour guide Anton (Antoun or Anton). His English was poor, which made it difficult for us to understand the history of Egyptian civilization that he narrated. In addition, the unprofessionalism he displayed throughout the trip worried us.
Our dissatisfaction is mainly centered on the following areas:
Poorly organized itinerary: upon arrival at Aswan airport, we expected to be able to go straight to the cruise ship for a break, but were immediately put on a schedule instead. We found that the guide was just trying to get through the basic itinerary as quickly as possible so that he could have more time to sell us additional paid packages.
Forced to buy extra packages: The guide was constantly pushing extra self-pay packages "every day", whether it was during meals, on the car, while relaxing on the deck or resting in our room, he kept bothering us and stressed us out with the prices of these packages which were more than twice the market price.
Rushed tours: each tour was rushed and time was squeezed so that the guide could push for more extra optional tours.
Store sales push: we were taken to expensive stores with no other tourists, we were not asked for our opinion nor reminded of the prices, we were forced to spend money. And when we needed to buy sim cards, the guide intentionally didn't take us to buy them (because they are not sold in Aswan airport), resulting in us having no internet for the first two days.
Tipping issues: despite the fact that we had paid a reasonable tip based on the information on the internet, the guide was still not satisfied and even said "I told you that the exchange rate is now 55 Egyptian pounds for 1 euro, you are giving too little"!

Unfortunately, our boat required unexpected repair, but the company, prior to our arrival, managed to put us on a different boat of equal if not better quality. We set sail on the Sonesta Moon Goddess, which was fabulous.
Nothing that comes to the main

we booked a Nile cruise on the Alexander but due to a malfunctioning air conditioning Michel seamlessly booked us on the Moon Goddess instead. the ship was wonderful and the food was good, staff exemplary and very friendly. our assigned guide Mr Hamed was a Master Egyptologist and took great care of us. His knowledge was encyclopedic and encompassed Egyptology and political events spanning decades. he also had a very good sense of humor and knew someone everywhere we visited. we highly recommend him!!
All in all an excellent trip, big thank you to Michel and Mr Hamed for taking such good care of us!

Pleasant
The staff are wonderful, everyone is super friendly and tries hard to help. The restaurant crew in particular are attentive and efficient. The service runs like a well-oiled machine. Dining was a mixed bag, the buffet lunches, featuring Egyptian style food were delicious and excellent. In contrast the dinners were disappointing, featuring a multi course “European” style menu which was adequate but not brilliant. Excursions were good and Hamid the tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and experienced.
The ship is tired and dated, by no means a luxury cruise. Unfortunately not enough time is spent cruising the Nile and too much time (every night and a few days) moored alongside, generally 3 ships deep in Luxor, Edfu and Aswan. This means one has to traverse the other vessels to get to the Alexander. Given the temperatures in Egypt all ships’ Aircon etc are powered on 24x7 and there are generators running everywhere. Air quality while moored up is terrible and it doesn’t really improve much when under way as the vessels seem to run extremely smoky heavy fuel oil. I believe there are around 200 ships plying the river between Luxor and Aswan, which has many sugar plantations many of which seem to be continuously burning off the sugar cane stubble etc. The air pollution was quite depressing.

Great food and very kind and flexible crew. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.
Information on the itinerary of the cruise program was sparse but all that was promised was kept and the guided tours were very good.

Best thing is the hospitality of all the staffs.
Specifically we would like to thank Mr. Adel (Restaurant manager) for his special & personalized care. He and the Chef ( sorry forgot the name) made us some very tasty vegetarian food on board.
Our guide Dr. Hameed was a caring person and learned man, who explained archeological significance of the sights in a simplified way.
Average:
Room interiors and comfort was average which is acceptable being an old boat. This boat needs better furnishing.
Worst ( Better'update in website as well)
Wiki is not available in room. Even in common areas is was very poor.

Kindness of ALL staff & crew members.
Great peace on board, as the downriver 3 nights cruise Aswan to Luxor is nearly never full.
The roomy comfortable suites. The restaurant's & bar very kind service.
The all-in private programs, full service & expert comprehensive tours of Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor west and east bank with Dr Hamed, our guide.
The no hassle "One Time" envelope tipping at check out, to be shared with all staff & crew.
Good wifi in lobby & lounge.
The unavoidable wake-up call at 5:30 AM to visit the temple of Edfu, as for the boat to hurry to the Esna lock and get early in the lock queue.
Somewhat limited breakfast, lunch or dinner menus as the very limited nr of passengers did not really allow full deployment of the kitchen's capability & menus' variety.

The tour operator was fabulous and the general staff helpfulness was excellent. Meals were generally delicious with lots of food
Two major irritations are the toilet facilities which do not allow flushing of toilet paper and the Wi-Fi which was poor with low signal

Private Balcony that we booked is awesome, we could see the lock at Esna very well and had amazing experience crossing the canal
the dinner served too late for us, it’s 8pm or 830pm which could have provide choices for people who usually have earlier dinner; the menu choices more towards meat, more seafood option would make the dining experience more pleasant

Loved personal nature of staff interaction. They got to know our habits and likes quickly.
Problems with inconsistency of toilet flushing and very spotty internet. Also credit card payment difficulty when settling finances at the end of the trip.
