The guesthouse overlooks the Nile and Luxor temple. And is close to the ferry the local people use to cross the river
The staff at the guest house are very helpful and nothing is too much for them.
The pillows were a touch on the hard side, but that's all.

I highly recommend Luxor Guests House to anyone visiting Luxor. Its location on the West Bank is perfect for exploring the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, and for experiencing a hot air balloon ride over Luxor.
Ahmed and his family were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay—always friendly and ready to help. The food was another highlight: freshly prepared, delicious, and we happily enjoyed all our lunches and dinners there.
A wonderful place that truly enhanced our time in Luxor.

The hotel was located on the West Bank but the hotel always made a boat available for crossing to the East Bank. The hotel is quiet and the area is sleepy and calm. The staff was exceptional and their English was good. They were always available with any questions or concerns on WhatsApp. My room was huge and comfortable. There is tremendous competition for rooms in Luxor as it is a tourist mecca but this hotel recognizes that tourists want exceptional value. I got exceptional value and more at Luxor Guesthouse. The hotel even has a newly built pool. I was told that I was the first guest to use it in January 2026 and have attached a photo to prove this. I can not recommend this place highly enough.
The area is sleepy which might be an issue for some people and is not as developed as the East Bank of Nile. Due to this, restaurants are not as numerous and they are generally not open late. The construction of a pedestrian corniche in front of the hotel was not an issue. I never heard noise and was never bothered me or inconvenienced.

This is truly one of the best places to stay in Luxor. Ahmed and his wonderful family do everything they can to make you feel like you are at home. They even prepared free meals for us, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The rooms are clean and beautiful, and the breakfasts are also very good. The terrace is amazing, with a beautiful view of the Nile. Everything about this place was perfect. When I come back to Luxor, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything!

Nice hotel, clean rooms, hot water in shower, electric tea pot, large room and king-size bed. Also there is 2 air-conditioners , but there was no need in January. Personal key from room and entrance. Close to ferry to east side (5 min on foot), nice restaurants nearby with good prices.
Reception is not 24 hours, but all our questions was resolved. I would like the staff to get more practice in English ?

1. No heater in the room. ACs should be equipped with heat facility
2. Sliding door into balcony is not locking (in both bedrooms we stayed). Cool air is coming from the slit making the room even colder (with outside night temperatures around 8-10 degrees).

Spacious apartment, friendly staff, friendly owner speaks German and English, nice view across Nile to east bank. The place is good for backpackers.
Crummy transport from airport, dusty counters, slow breakfast and lunch, big gaps under doors let in cold and smoke from outside.

The hosts are extremely helpful, polite and supportive. The place is quite convenient, just a boat trip away from the other side where you'd take and get everything.
Not fancy or lavish but breakfast and meals are great and always offering to help with whatever required.
The street may seem so run down and under construction, yet they have their boat right in front of them to pick up and transfer whenever required.

Hospitable family-run guesthouse with character. Friendly and attentive. Naser was such a nice host to deal with. 2 bedroom apartment with balcony provides an idyllic view overlooking the Nile.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and towels were provided. Breakfast was included and was typical Egyptian with bread, an egg, cheese, beans, veggies and coffee. Nassar was an excellent host, helping us to secure transportation to local temples and Valley of the Kings. They even have a motor boat to take you across the river to the East bank. All in all, an excellent value with a great view of the Nile!
The kitchen could have a few more items but I didn't need to cook. It is possible that we could have borrowed anything we needed
