Everything else. For some reason, everything is (opportunistically) priced in Euros. They keep insisting you pay in cash for obvious reasons. Then they bring a machine but don't show you the bill, only afterwards I noticed they overcharged me by a couple of Euros. They later tried to charge my friend for SIX drinks when we only had two. AVOID this place at all costs unless you enjoy constant attempts to scheme and scam you by the hotel staff.

Went to the restaurant/bar to listen to the oriental music, ordered 2 beers and a plate of food. The food took almost an hour, then I asked to pay and they asked dollar, euro, or pound - I said visa. They then tried to tell me I owed them for the food and 6 beers. I refused, they tried to make a big deal and then after way too long of them lying to me about how much I drank they said maybe they made a mistake. The mistake they made was thinking I would allow them to scam me. They told the people who left before me their card machine was broke, and had them pay in USD. There are signs at the front desk and restaurant that say card payment only, they ask for cash to steal, then get upset when you refuse to overpay or insist on using a card. Worst hotel experience of my entire life. I would not return if they paid me. If you stay there prepare for some scummy behavior. I’m not sure why booking.com allows a place like this to exist on their site

The carpets in the room desperately need replacing. The bathroom showers are also quite old but at least clean.

1. The carpet floor in the room is awful, old and dirty and always has smell of dust. I believe this floor (moquet) was from 70th last century. I believe this is very bad choice for the rooms. This experience can kill all other positive things this hotel can offer.

Service, hygiene, overall quality, pictures are misleading and too overpriced for the quality offered.

The lock on the sliding door in our room was broken when we arrived, but it was quickly repaired.

There were several downsides. The swimming pool had visible dirt and was not cleaned during the day. Construction work next door involved burning materials, and ash would drift into the hotel and pool area, landing on your skin and in the water, which was unpleasant. The walls were extremely thin. We could hear not only conversations from neighboring rooms, but even feel movement when they leaned or pushed against the wall near our headboard, which would wake us up. Street noise was also very loud — constant car honking made it difficult to sleep, despite requesting a quiet room. Although we booked a side Nile view room, there was actually no real Nile view, mostly just street views. There were no designated non-smoking areas outdoors, including by the pool. Smoking was everywhere, which was uncomfortable and unhealthy, especially for children or non-smokers. Food prices were high by Egyptian standards and did not match the quality. We also booked a felucca boat ride with dinner through the hotel. While the food was good and being on the water was pleasant, there was no actual tour. Due to lack of wind, the boat was simply moved about 100 meters by a motorboat and stayed there before returning. It felt overpriced for what was offered. The evening entertainment (singer and dancers) was short and unfortunately low quality. The singer was off-key, and we ended up leaving because of it. Basic amenities were also missing. There was no conditioner provided in the room. The hotel does not lend irons and instead only offers paid dry-cleaning services, which is very unusual for a 4-star hotel. These are simple expectations at this level.

Terrible food - definitely catered to bland European tourists. Ordered the mezze thinking I would get authentic Egyptian food but I wouldn’t wish their hummus on my worst enemy. While the lobby was cute, the rooms were dated but I guess you get what you pay for.

Bathroom needs refurbishing though it's ok. . Water pressure can be better

The reception staff is not smelling at all and treat different person with different altitude . Not helpful. I requested queen bed but realized still double bed . Kind of cheating .Nobody brief the restaurant location and anything about hotel even lift .only after talked with manager things changed better .

The Nile view is about 2 times of the original price but the view is blocked! Very not worth the price. SCAM
