Staying at Cleopatra Hotel Luxor was a highlight of our trip in Egypt, offering exceptional hospitality and an unbeatable location on the West Bank, just a short and easy walk from the ferry port. The manager, Mahmoud, and his team were incredibly accommodating, especially when our flight was delayed by three hours; despite our late arrival, our pre-arranged airport taxi was there waiting for us, and they made our midnight check-in seamless and welcoming. They took care of all our transportation, including a reliable taxi for our West Bank sites day trip and a smooth transfer back to the airport, and even helped us book an unforgettable hot air balloon tour. Beyond the services, their invaluable local tips for navigating Luxor made our stay much easier. With its stunning rooftop terrace and genuine "home away from home" feel, this hotel provides incredible value and heart. I highly recommend it for the team's reliability and kindness.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Outstanding service. The hotel was not brand new but was authentic to Egypt and was cozy and cultural. The included breakfast was so filling and delicious. I will definitely be staying here again !!!!!

This was less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry. I recommend staying on this side of the river as it was nicer. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had an early flight in from Cairo and they us let check in early, which was very appreciated.
The shower/tub has a very tall step to get in and is very narrow. If you have any sort of mobility concerns, this would be an issue.

The room style is authentic.The bed is comfortable. Beautiful roof with view of hot air balloons.
There is no glass covering the bathroom window. Cold air enters when you take shower. Privacy is not ensured.

Quiet convenient location on the west bank. Helpful staff. Good rooftop view for breakfast. Mahmoud the main person running this hotel was very helpful and reliable. He organized our balloon flight efficiently.

Having breakfast on the ornately painted rooftop terrace with the view of the Valley of the Kings was truly memorable. The hotel is quaintly decorated and the rooms are spacious & cozy, made us feel at home.
The location of the hotel is quiet but strategic enough - it is walking distance to the ferry & restaurants - we had interesting sights along the way (dry cleaning, essential oils shop, mixed nuts shop, mini marts, tuk-tuks, camels, horses, donkeys). It is also close to the hot air balloon launch site, so we did not have to wake up too early for our sunrise hot air balloon ride.
The staff were warm & welcoming, especially the famous Mahmoud, he was the receptionist, the chef & the waiter - all in one. We had our luggages brought up & down during check-in & check-out, which was nice.
After check-out, we left Luxor to go to Aswan. When we reached Aswan, one of my family members just realised that he left his green jacket in his room at Cleopatra Hotel Luxor. I immediately asked the hotel to look for it and they found it! Then I asked our lovely tour guide in Luxor, Maria, to help us - she waited at the ferry dock and the hotel staff came to meet her at the ferry dock to pass her the jacket. Maria then had the jacket delivered to us in Aswan. We were so grateful how helpful & sincere our tour guide and the hotel staff were, thank you so much!
The cleanliness of the bedroom & bathroom could be improved a bit. The floor was dusty & the fridge seemed like it has not been used in a long time, it was unplugged when we checked in, so when we opened it, the smell coming from it was not so fresh.
Some of the lights in the bedroom did not work. The light bulbs in the bedroom & bathroom were a mix of bright white & warm white. It would be nice if all the light bulbs were warm white for extra coziness.
There was no hand bidet by the toilet.
The breakfast was delicious but it would be nice to have some simple fruits & vegetables like bananas, tomatoes & cucumbers.

Very nice stay, the room was clean, spacious, confortable. The best thing about this accommodation was the staff, especially Mahmud, he was super helpful for anything we needed! Thanks to him this stay was really good!

Wonderful
Mahmoud was genuinely the most honest and helpful person we met during our two weeks Egypt trip. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location was near the ferry docks. You can see the hot air balloons from the terrace if you get up early.
No elevator. But Mahmoud and others carried our luggage upstairs and never complained even a bit.

Was the most dirty "hotel" that we stayed in all over the world. The fridge was filthy,and all the furniture looked like it was taken from the garbage,the hotel location was surrounded by horse stables.They charge an extra 5 percent if you want to pay by card.Also,the kitchen looked like it was from a horror movie,don t go there !

Lovely and quiet, wonderful views from the rooftop terrace. Very friendly staff. They accommodated me with Breakfast as I have all these allergies - it’s never been so easy and doable. Hamdulilah for Mahmoud.

This budget hotel is the perfect spot to stay when exploring the Luxor area. It's walking distance to many good restaurants and cafes (Wannas has terrific vegetarian food and Moon Cafe can satisfy your cappuccino cravings), but you won't be hungry until the afternoon thanks to a hearty Egyptian breakfast prepared by Mahmoud and served on the hotel's rooftop, which is replete with colorfully painted domes and from which one can view the hot air balloons rise above the valley each morning. All of the west bank sites are accessible by local transportation, and the public ferry is walking distance for the trip across the Nile to visit the east Bank attractions. The staff is warm and attentive, especially Mahmoud with whom I enjoyed many discussions on topics ranging from daily life to theology. The rooms are enormous, by European standards, and many enjoy private balconies. There's enough hot water for a comfortable shower. Air conditioner works fine!
It took me a couple of nights to figure out how to lie comfortably on the old mattress.

The views from the rooftop restaurant and social area are spectacular day and night! From our room balcony we could see the lit-up temple sites on the Theban hills, and the early morning balloonists floating by. The staff were all very friendly, caring, and responded promptly to our requests, they aimed to make us comfortable and happy. The owner Nassa made extra effort to help us work out our programme, and provided his car and driver for that. Makmoud was always available and was extra caring, ready with his chat and jokes, and provided wonderful meals in the rooftop dining and sitting area. Mohammad was always helpful and caring and friendly, good to chat with. Akmid was a good driver and very accommodating to our time plans. As a whole the staff made relationships and service their focus, with great friendliness and caring. We would return there in a heartbeat on any future trip to Luxor.

The owner operator was the only one offered us a cold drink when we arrived. He was a Superman, he was everywhere from the front task to the kitchen, always with a big smile, very optimistic. He tried very hard to provide all your needs and make yourself at home.
From the roof top, you can see the King's valley. Good view!.
It is Only a 5 minute walk to the ferry harbor. Good location.

The rooftop had beautiful views and the rooms were very comfortable with great air conditioning. The location was great, close to the ferry port and restaurants on the West Bank. The staff welcomed us warmly and was ready to help with anything we wanted to ask! Breakfast was also phenomenal and served with a smile.
The wifi was a bit slow one night, but worked fine the next!
