Very Poor
The breakfast barista who was very kind friendly and made a great coffee.
Everything. To begin, the manager who was spoken of very highly in the reviews, was actually a very judgemental jerk who tries to coerce people to spend money at his place by criticizing their choices elsewhere and making false claims about local prices and saying things like ‘its only 5$’ where actually in egypt this is a high amount for food and whatnot compared to locals. He just sat around smoking hookah all the time. In addition the power was lost 2 times during my stay, the internet connection was TERRIBLE! The room itself was old, outdated and seemed to be a childs bedroom that wasnt even clean. I found hair and dust everywhere, the sheets and curtains had holes in them and despite actually having an aircon in the room, they refused to turn it on because ‘its winter’ despite the room being VERY HOT ?.
The location too was not good as taxis usually refused to come there or charge double price, and one afternoon they murdered a cow in the street and there was a river of blood in the only pathway. It was a nightmarish stay and i hope nobody falls for the confusingly high reviews which ive been told could have been paid for as its common oractice in egypt to do this.

Free bus station pick up is generous and incredibly helpful in a sea of taxis. One of whom tried to charge me $10 for a three-minute ride.
The rooms are very simple but great for $5 and a quick hostel stay.
And the people are fantastic. Thank you guys for running a great, quiet, friendly little hostel in an otherwise busy and chaotic city. A little oasis of chill energy.
Tight dorm set up with no storage space would be tricky if crowded. But was alone in a 4 bed ?

The staff were amazing. Not just polite, but genuinely friendly and helpful. You can feel they actually care about making your stay comfortable, not just doing their job.
The rooms were super clean, smelled fresh, and everything was well organized. You just feel comfortable being there.
Overall, the vibe, the service, and the location make it a perfect place if you want to chill and enjoy Luxor in a classy way. Definitely would go back again.
Really nothing

This was my third visit in the last 4 years. I come back because they make you feel so welcome. The rooftop chill area is a great place to relax and meet fellow adventure travelers on the backpacker trail. They can arrange any kind of tour but don't push them and don't overcharge. At the end of a small alley, it is very quiet for sleeping but just 100 yards to shops, great street food, and nice restaurants, just 5 minutes to a good supermarket, a short walk to Luxor temple and the Nile. They have a small book exchange, but you might have to ask. Fantastic value for money if you have come to Egypt to meet people and experience more than just temples.
Rooms are a little small, most share a bathroom; two bedrooms sharing each bathroom, all very clean.

Friendly helpful staff, nice location
Was too noisy, for breakfast: everything is available but you gotta ask for it
Like napkins, utensils and even water, the friendly Ali was too overwhelmed doing everything alone

Wonderful
I had a very pleasant stay at Bob Marley. The facilities are good for the price you pay. The location is good, close to many shops and some attractions. The rooftop is really cool to meet other people. Tariq was really nice and helped me with booking tours at a very reasonable price.
no power sockets next to dorm beds, slow wifi but that's true in general in Egypt but it is acceptable for the price you pay.

Nothing
I’m giving one star because I can’t give less.
First of all, the photos in the listing have absolutely nothing to do with the room we received. The room was extremely dirty. The walls were covered in stains that honestly looked like people had spit on them. The furniture was swollen and damaged from humidity, and the bed sheets had holes in them. I’ve attached photos because it was honestly unbelievable.
On top of that, they only provided blankets with no top sheet in between. That means your skin is directly on a blanket that who knows how many people have used before, and it’s very questionable whether it was properly cleaned.
The owner/person in charge was also very intense and pushy, constantly hovering around us all day, even during breakfast, which made the stay uncomfortable.
Breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The owner was collecting bread from other tables and then bringing it to our table to serve us. The coffee was served in a dirty cup, and the forks were clearly not clean — just quickly rinsed with water, still with food residue on them.
If this hostel were very cheap, maybe I could understand, but it’s not. Paying $15 for a room that feels like a prison cell is actually expensive. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I genuinely can’t believe this place has good reviews.

We were met with a sign at the bus station and taken to the hotel, and helped to carry the bag up to the room.

Fair
The facilities were very basic and quite limited, so don't expect much comfort. But if you're just looking for a short stay like in a hostel, it's fine. The tours offered through the hotel were affordable, which was a big plus. The owner may seem a bit blunt at first, but he actually takes good care of the guests — I appreciated that

Wonderful
The place has a great location close to the river Nile and downtown. The hostel is pretty clean ( as per Egyptian standards). The room is big enough and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is ok. Breakfast is included and practically any time you can ask for. They organize tours to the historical sites and the prices are better than the official ones. The owner is a real Egyptian "businessman" (you know what I mean). The staff are kind and helpful (Ahmed, Ali and the ladies). Hassan the receptionist is a good hearted nice fellow you can count on him, many thanks. Overall the place is recommended if you're a backpacker I believe it's good enough even for a longer stay.
Nothing is perfect. If you want you can find faults here easily but you are better off if you just enjoy your stay in Egypt.

We came as a group of 13 friends and had a lot of fun. Ali helped us a lot in every way, we thank him very much. The facility is in a very central location and is reasonably priced. We recommend it to everyone.
