I stayed at Steigenberger Makadi, and I can say it’s a perfect choice for honeymooners and couples who love peace and quiet. The atmosphere is really calm and relaxing, which made it a great place .
The staff were super friendly and always helpful. Every time I left the room, housekeeping surprised me with nice touches on the bed, which made the stay even more special.
As for the food, it was good with a decent variety, though I honestly expected it to be a bit better. Still, the options were enough and quite enjoyable overall.

I would like only to mention the good staff who deserves a great shoutout although all my issues during this stay! Firstly Ahmed Fateen in the reception is absolutely amazing! Polite and friendly.. he gave us a decent tour for the hotel and chose a spacious room with amazing golf view.. chief Yassin, is amazing too! He has a warm smile and so kind! Mr Ramy the manager is polite and he showed great potential to help and sort our issues!
The hotel is not bad! The rooms on the golf are something else!
Oh! Alot!
A person called Masry and he claimed he is the F&B manager came to me while im having breakfast with my husband and asked me to put a tshirt on while im in the restaurant although i was in dress code, i had my pants and cropped shirt on and all foreigners aroud where literally in their swimsuit which i considered rudeness, discrimination and racism!!
Secondly all extra drinks and food are coming in a cheque in euros! When i raised that im egyptain and i should get the receipt in egyptian pounds they told me no these are the rules!
Thirdly the hotel is way far from the shared beach! Its like 10 mins driving distance then 10 mins walking distance which was not convenient in this hot weather!
I found on my room’s door a gecko and insects on my bed sheets!
I have an option for a la carte restaurant and when i asked the idiot reception guy to help me in reserving he refused and when i asked to escalate, Mr Ramy is the one who helped!

Many things:
1- Check in was supposed to be at 2pm I arrived at 3 pm I received the room at almost 4 pm ! I told the reception the room was supposed to be clean and ready since 2 pm and no one was cooperative and they were so negative.
2- I requested queen bed in the booking phase and when I arrived they gave me a double bed room and after I informed them it took them extra 15 mins to find me another room
3- when we arrived they surprised that its mandatory to attend dinner with pants and refused to let us attend dinner with shorts ! And no one from the hotel informed us before coming with this rule

House keeping
1) we arrived an hour late however our room wasn’t ready and we got to the room after 30 mins from arriving.
2) We were asked to wear pants and shoes to dinner on our arrival however it wasn’t mentioned or communicated beforehand and I was very surprised because I was half board so hadn’t I had an emergency pants in my luggage would I have lost the privilege to get dinner
3) We saw a big pool of blood between our floor and the floor above when we were going to the lobby which made my wife very terrified the whole night.
4) The reception called us to check out 10 mins before time despite the fact that we checked in later than our time
All of this was communicated to the reception starting from the late check-in to the blood incident and the urgency to checkout before my time and no action was taken and I didn’t feel that they care.

Overall we had a good time.
Appearance and Staff:
- The hotel looks great, rooms are good, pool is clean, program is interesting, and the staff is attentive.
We chose this 5-star resort based on good reviews, but our experience was clearly not 5-star worthy:
Service Issues:
- We couldn't get a key card for an entire day due to system issues. We were told the issue would be resolved in 30 minutes, multiple times—poor expectation management.
- No Internet in rooms or at the pool, an issue persisting for over three weeks.
- The Internet in the lobby was slow and buggy.
Management Failure:
- The hotel manager promised to find a solution and follow up the same afternoon about the Internet but never did. He kept avoiding me.
- Whenever we asked questions at the reception, it felt like we were bothering them and they didn't really want to help.
Food:
- Dinner was good with a wide selection, but the quality was inconsistent. Some dishes were really not good.
- Breakfast had a wide variety, but the quality wasn't there for us.

Wonderful
The staff was so friendly and really made sure we felt at comfortable. Food was good and lots of choices during breakfast and dinner. A la Carte lunch was limited but good. The restaurants had good food to offer too.
It was a little bit dated especially the expensive suite, the interior and outside pool was rather a little foot bath
