This review is an update following the hotel’s response, which unfortunately continues to misrepresent what actually happened.
My confirmed reservations were cancelled on the day of arrival, and I was given the reason “credit card authorization issue”. However, this has already been verified as inaccurate:
My bank confirmed that no authorization attempt was ever made
The same card worked immediately after without any issue
I have documented communication with the hotel confirming the cancellation was due to a pricing error
Despite being aware of this, the hotel continues to repeat the same incorrect explanation publicly.
This is not just a misunderstanding — it reflects a clear reluctance to acknowledge responsibility.
As a direct result of this situation, I was placed under significant pressure upon arrival and had to secure alternative arrangements at a much higher cost, leading to a substantial financial loss.
The most concerning part is not only the cancellation itself, but the ongoing refusal to provide an accurate and transparent explanation.
Guests rely on confirmed reservations for security and planning. Situations like this seriously undermine trust.
I strongly encourage the hotel management to address this matter with honesty and take responsibility for the consequences of their actions.

This hotel does not respect confirmed reservations.
My bookings were cancelled on the same day of arrival under a false claim, and I was left to deal with the situation myself.
The worst part is that I was later asked to book again at a higher price.
This kind of behavior damages trust completely.
I would not recommend relying on a confirmed booking here.

Be very careful when booking this hotel.
They cancelled my confirmed reservations minutes before arrival, claiming an issue with my card — which turned out to be completely false.
After that, I was asked to rebook at a much higher price.
This is not a technical issue — this is clearly price manipulation.
I have never experienced such behavior from a hotel before.

I am writing this review to clarify the misleading explanation provided by the hotel in their response.
I had multiple confirmed reservations, all of which were cancelled on the day of arrival while I was already on my way, with the stated reason being a “credit card authorization issue”.
However, this explanation is incorrect:
My bank officially confirmed that no authorization attempt was ever made
The same credit card worked immediately after without any issue
I also have a recorded call with the hotel’s reservations manager confirming that the cancellation was due to a pricing error, not a card problem
Despite this, the hotel is still repeating the same inaccurate explanation publicly.
As a result of this situation, I was forced to make alternative arrangements under pressure and ended up paying significantly more.
This raises serious concerns about transparency and how confirmed reservations are handled.
I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious, and I hope the hotel provides a clear and truthful explanation instead of repeating inconsistent information.

Beautiful location, heated pool, lovely staff, very convenient if you’re traveling with kids
The rooms weren’t cleaned very well everyday, the 50 min massage I paid $80 for was horrible (however they were nice enough to compensate me with a free 30 min massage the next day, although would’ve been nice to get my full 50 mins), the food was below average during dinner AND breakfast (food/chefs need a major upgrade).. an overall ok experience especially if ure traveling with kids.. but def over priced

The hotel is in a prime location in Gouna with great views of the lagoon and golf course. The staff are super friendly and helpful as always , and the food at the breakfast buffet is delicious with a big variety and food selection.
The rooms are starting to look a bit dated, I think the hotel needs to do a better job maintaining the property. The room was also quite dusty, and the floors were not cleaned properly. You'll definitely need to be wearing slippers the whole time in the room, otherwise you'll have black feet.

There were ramps all over the ground floor but no ramps to the first floor of rooms, be very mindful of this if you have a stroller. We said on the booking we had a child under 1 and visibly had a stroller upon check in and were still given a room on the first floor.
