I love this place. So much serenity, the staff makes you feel more than welcomed and home.
Snorkeling spot is amazing, such a beauty!
Food is good.
You will definitely come back again.
Almost nothing. Just make sure you will need a car to reach it or take a taxi from hurghada bus stop or hurghada airport

For the price, it was exceptional. The staff was like family. Snorkeling was good. Food was like home cooking.

Everything about the resort was sooo nice and the location is breathtaking. It is an exceptional diving and snorkeling area.

The location is perfect on the beach and with access to the most beautiful coral reef for snorkeling just off the jetty. The place was fully booked and still we never felt crowded. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great with a big selection to choose from 3 times a day. We were there for new year’s and we were treated with a very fancy new year celebration party. I will definitely recommend the place for people who need a peaceful holiday.
It’s not really a problem but you should know that the place is about a half hour away from town and you only have a small shop to buy the basic things.

I came here for scuba diving. I had my own room with sea view and private bathroom. It was very quiet and not crowded at all, which was great. The scuba diving school is just next door, which was also very convenient. Staff is very nice and helpful. Restaurant is also cool.
Perhaps I would have liked a bit more traditional Egyptian food at the restaurant.

Beds are good. Location is secluded, beach is wonderful, the coral is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful. Mgmt is flexible. They did a great spread for Christmas dinner too.
It needs a good handyman, the door locks/knobs are all damaged. The breakfast is mediocre. Lunch and dinner are decent to good. Meat was good but pasta was always overcooked. The beer is cheap and available!

Soma Bay has a good reputation overall, but not all facilities in this area are good, like this resort.
The place is mostly unkempt; old mattresses and other stuff strewn everywhere. The facility requires some serious maintenance/refurbishment.

We liked the place so much but suggested little improvements, little renovation for the public toilets nearby the reception would be an added value (it was always clean by the way).
Also, kids area is amazing but needs little maintenance. One of our 2 rooms missed the blackout but it didn’t matter to us and we didn’t ask for a repair.

The hotel is located on a beautiful coastline with a rocky beach and a jetty that makes it excellent for snorkeling. However, guests should note that there is no sandy beach at all.
The restaurant serves good-quality food, though the variety is somewhat limited. The staff overall are friendly and welcoming, but I experienced one issue regarding water policy: each guest is provided only one 600 ml bottle of water per meal, and any additional bottles are charged extra. As we were a family of 14 staying on a full-board basis, this rule was inconvenient and felt restrictive.
While the setting and service were generally pleasant, I hope management will reconsider the water policy to make the experience more comfortable for families and larger groups
During my stay, I found the hotel’s policy on drinking water quite restrictive. Each guest is provided with only one 600 ml bottle of water per meal, and any additional bottles are charged separately. For a large family like ours (14 people on a full-board stay), this created unnecessary inconvenience and extra cost.
Given the importance of hydration, especially in a beach resort environment, I believe the hotel should revise this policy. Providing more generous access to water, or at least offering refillable dispensers, would greatly improve guest comfort and satisfaction.

Amazing place, the energy is something else there and the house reef is mindblowing. I saw amazing fish that you wouldn't necessarily see while snorkeling. The food is great and the quiet/tanning area was lovely. Service is very warm and all the staff are very hospitable.
The place is perfect for adults, could be an amazing place if positioned as a nature retreat destination for groups, companies, or even solo travelers and nature and wellness enthusiasts.
I don't think it's suitable for kids and families. Kids don't really understand this kind of place, and they tend to disturb the experience of adults that are seeking peace and quiet and nature connection. So neither kids are very happy because they can't just sit in shallow water make sand castles, and neither the adults are able to have a quiet and peaceful time.
If this place were an adults only place, I would probably find myself going frequently.
