I had a truly wonderful and relaxing stay at Algona Panorama Bungalows. The resort is beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, and I will definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues in the future.

Wonderful
Absolutely loved room 524! Large semi-private heated pool with stairs into the lagoon, and jacuzzi in the room.
Excellent variety for food at the buffet, everything was yummy!
The staff are friendly and very helpful. To the prior reviewers who indicate otherwise, try smiling and being kind and you’ll get excellent treatment! Everyone we met was so sweet, from the reception to the buffet chefs to the housekeeping staff!
Very close to downtown, 5 min walk.
The hotel also has a free boat shuttle service to Zaytouna beach with its own restaurant on the island.
The spa was also really nice, and the hotel kindly provides a free 15 min massage voucher for all guests!!
Not all the rooms have heated + private outdoor pool so make to check if you’re looking for privacy. The staff were kind enough to relocate us as we are hijabis and wanted privacy to enjoy the sunshine :)
The resort doesn’t have many evening activities, if you’re looking for that.
Finally, food at the hub was available all day, but the variety is somewhat limited.

The only thing that was good about this place was the location, as it is very close to Gouna Downtown
There wasn’t a single day where we had issues and if you don’t argue you get nothing fixed. On the first night, the phone, the internet and the hot water didn’t work and the walls are so paper thin that you could hear everything from the other rooms and they told us that we were upgraded but it was clearly a downgrade as the balcony door didn’t work properly and the music from a place accross the water was super loud. The second day it was the same thing but even worse because the room next door decided to make a lot of noise, screaming and moving furniture. I called the receptionist to ask them to do something, they did nothing and when I called again they didn’t pick up the phone. We eventually got moved to a new room and at least this one was accessible with an elevator for our suitcases unlike the first room. But we were not getting enough towels for the 2 persons that we were. They would only put one towel. Not sure why? I only had the breakfast once because the food quality was poor but the worst was the person supposed to help the guests to find a table who told me to do it myself, even I pointed that I wanted to have a table outside and that several big tables only had one person or 2 and I would need help to separate the smaller tables from the big table. Anyway this place is a complete disaster, outdated and the staff doesn’t even seem to try to fix anything. And the cherry on top was when the manager asked me to not post anything about our stay. And the internet didn’t work the whole time.

The dinner was nice however only 20% was delicious the remaining kinds weren’t tasty and overall it wasn’t worth the price, the cleanliness of the room and the washroom it looked a-bit old and requires renovation. The wifi connection wasn’t that strong.

We came for our honeymoon and since the first moment we walked in everything went so smooth. Checked-in in just a couple of minutes, the suite was ready, with no delays. Staff was really friendly . Their all-inclusive plan was just delightful, we’ve received some complimentary gift certificates (Spa, Bazar discounts, etc…) . Food was awesome! We really loved the honeymoon suite, with the jacuzzi and the heated private pool.
Overall exeprience was so great, won’t be our last visit.

Wonderful
-The bungalow view is so nice.
-Having a private jacuzzi inside the room was a very nice addition to the overall experience.
-The AC heating was functioning well and maintaining the temperature exactly as needed.
-The restaurant has a fabulous view.
-The breakfast was nice with a good variety of food especially the fresh juices.
-The receptionist Mr. Alaa was friendly & very helpful.
-Zeytouna beach is full of small rocks and you can’t walk or get into the sea without shoes. Plus, you only get a pass to a certain small area of the beach and you’re not even allowed to sit or explore other parts of the beach.
-There are lots and lots of crows at the restaurant outdoor area that land on tables and eat people’s food ! Restricting any additional visits to the buffet without having crows eating off your plates as soon as you leave the table.
-There is a very loud noise coming from the construction site inside the hotel that is well heard anywhere inside the hotel.
-There is no parties or anything to be done after the sunset.
-The outdoor jacuzzi pool isn’t heated.
-The parking area is so small.

Free hourly boatshuttle to good beach at Zeytouna Island. Friendly staff in all departments.
Free voucher for 15mins good massage in modern SPA.
Internet was most of our time not working.
Only egyptian TV - channels. The food was average at best.
The breakfast terrace did not have sunshades outside and many crows tried to steel food from the table.
Inside is like a cantina. Opposite Sultan Bey Hotel has many flowers and plants at their outdoor restaurant and
hidden nets to keep the crows away.
Some parts of the property look old and need renovation i.e. reception.
