The restaurant was packed, with no available seating during peak hours. While the food was delicious and offered great variety, both I and one of my daughters suffered from food poisoning or a stomach bug (possibly E. coli or Shigella), resulting in high fever, severe diarrhea, and the need for medical treatment.
I visited Jaz Aquaviva 10 years ago and had a truly wonderful experience, which left me with fond memories—especially of the aquapark. That’s why, during my recent trip to Egypt, I chose to return, hoping to relive those moments. Unfortunately, this visit was a major letdown.
The hotel was severely overbooked, and the overwhelming number of guests put immense pressure on all facilities. Staff were clearly overloaded, and many responded to requests with rudeness and frustration. For example, a bartender shouted at my children, demanding they consolidate their drink orders instead of asking separately. Another staff member at the main bar aggressively yelled at a guest’s child for playing the hotel piano. Behind the lobby bar, I witnessed workers smoking, arguing, and even fighting, which is completely unacceptable for a supposed five-star establishment.
Our room was not clean and had severe water leakage, which added to the discomfort. The aquapark, which was the highlight of our previous visit, was chaotic. The hotel allows daily visitors who are not guests, leading to extreme overcrowding and long wait times. Safety guards were also rude and unkind, especially toward my young daughters.
The three pools were completely packed, with no empty spots to swim or relax. The water even appeared grayish, likely due to the excessive number of swimmers, which raised serious hygiene concerns.
The restaurant was packed, with no available seating during peak hours. Overall, this experience was terrible, and I cannot recommend Jaz Aquaviva to anyone. What was once a beautiful and enjoyable hotel has unfortunately become overcrowded, poorly managed, and far from the five-star standard it claims to uphold.

The food was very good, with a wide variety of cuisines to suit different tastes. The service staff were proactive, attentive, and always ready to help. The BBQ area outside the main restaurant was especially wonderful.
The staff were very welcoming, especially Lydia and Mohamed at the reception. All team members were friendly and helpful, always guiding us around the facilities and making us feel comfortable.
The aqua team and activities were excellent. There were many water slides and fun games, and the staff and lifeguards were very attentive, carefully watching over the children in all areas
The location is a bit far from Hurghada city center; however, the resort helps arrange round trips with scheduled times. Other than that, nothing significant. The resort is full of greenery, flowers, and beautiful gardens that are clearly well maintained.

Food and drinks were good quality compared to other Egyptian hotels we've visited. The pools were great and the waterslides were great fun. The entertainment team were hard working and lovely, other staff also! Big shout out to Hesham in the middle dining room who took great care of the in-laws, and the gent on pool drinks service on block 1 side was great.
On site shops are expensive compared to other resorts.
