I loved the Victoria architecture of the building the rooms big and spacious the meeting areas large and very Golden Age
The hotel could use a refurbish outside the paint needs repair and perhaps the grand main door facing the ocean and windows should be reopen and refurbish. It would be more classical if the sidewalk tables and chairs were brought back make it more inviting to people passing by or to sit have a coffee it would bring in more money

The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Arrange us a car from the airport. Very good location, right on the Corniche. The rooftop restaurant as great views and the food at dinner, is very good.
At lunch, the restaurant doesn't work very well. Only salads and sandwiches and the staff is a little lost.
It's not the hotel fault, but it can be difficult to sleep with all the noise of the street.
The carpet of the room was a little dirty.

Decor and classical furniture inside the hotel were beautiful. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Top floor breakfast and lounge area is sensational. Breakfast was great and pastries were amazing. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Loved the elevator!!
Exterior is very run down and street appeal does not do the hotel justice.

location
The person at the reception was blatantly mean and harassed towards me, an Asian person.
I was given a lower grade room than the one I reserved, and my request was treated humiliatingly.
When I was sleeping in the middle of the night, I was woken up by a loud knock and the staff (man)came into the room where I (women)was sleeping alone.
When I drained the hot water from the bathtub, water containing a large amount of black garbage flowed back from the boundary between the toilet bowl and the floor, immediately contaminating the floor.

I loved our stay immensely. The location, close to markets and St Marks Cathedral.
Room clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a room with sea views. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Terrace was terrific with a great variety of food and beverages. The view from the terrace was fabulous, a great place to sit back and enjoy the sunsets. Breakfasts was ok. Check-in was great, staff polite and welcoming. Common areas very clean. Christinas greeting was warm and welcoming. She was extremely helpful and accommodating with all our needs.
Breakfast could have a bit more variety, though was satisfying enough. Wait staff in restaurants, in need of additional training to cater for non Egyptians travellers. I didnt like how locals dining were given preference over in-house guest..(Carol). The golden hour light dinner was unacceptable, food stale or soggy, the choice was limited, beverages only included wine, tea ,coffee, water, juice nothing else offered. Had to purchase all other drinks. In my opinion this is more a high tea, not a light dinner.
If this is an attempt at a club lounge, it needs some fine tuning. I would not include this in my stay.
