Located in an 18th century building with classical decorations and stunning views of the Mediterranean, Le Metropole features a French fine dining restaurant and elegantly furnished rooms with a balcony. This was truly a wonderful stay for our one night in Alexandria. The historic building is beautiful and gorgeously maintained; the staff of the hotel are outstanding - welcoming, supremely efficient, and ready to help with anything. The rooms are spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and with abundant amenities. My junior suite was on the fourth floor and the view to the sea was spectacular, as was the view from the 5th floor breakfast area. Based on my experience traveling in Egypt for business for three decades now, I find that this hotel is an incredible value for the affordable price even of these deluxe rooms, and it will become a favorite spot for me. A big thank you to the staff!

Breakfast was excellent. The view from the Skyview Hotel was awesome.
Would be nice to provide earplugs. It is noisy on that street corner, so that would be a nice touch.

Beautiful hotel, very helpful and available staff (loved the doormen!), great room, excellent location near the sea and in the middle of town near many restaurants and shopping. A tram stop is right next door, and the main train station is within walking distance, mostly via a pedestrian-only street. Rooms are very soundproof too (the surrounding streets are VERY noisy!)
The elevators are beautiful but very small and were seemingly being worked on constantly. In short, not very dependable or practical.

Historic hotel near the Alexandria harbor. Great top terrace for breakfast with a view. Beautiful buffet selection. Caring & attentive staff.
In the 21st C it’s a very busy & noisy location. Huge intersection right outside. Room on 2nd floor was musty. Could not open windows because of noise & traffic. AC worked, but blew across my head/face at night (uncomfortable.) Had requested room on a higher floor for my 3-night stay. For 2nd-3rd night, they gave me a better room on the 3rd floor, with more space. better air & AC did not blow on me in bed. Improvement. Tea time is ok, but in a dark room & food selection is not great. A bit odd.

The property is very clean, true classic with modern touch. The entire staff was really friendly and helpful, especially with Bassant Victor, Tanaseem and Ibrahim. I enjoyed my stay, I strongly recommend this hotel, I know I’d definitely come back

Back to 1902 in this AMAZING magical hotel with detailed vintage furniture wall arts and antiques. We loved every part in the hotel starting from the hospitality of all the staff ( Tasneem was so welcoming), the management and all the waitstaff in the Sky View Roof restaurant .. Highly recommended and definitely coming back inshaAllah
