The location in the heart of Alexandria.
The hotel is in poor condition and needs urgent renovation. The elevator doors are fitted with springs to shut them down making it very difficult to get in or out especially with luggage.
The rooms are smelly and once the windows are open it becomes too noisy.

I need to extend a heartfelt thanks to two special ladies from the staff whom I met at the reception and they done great effort to help me solve a problem regarding my reservation as i booked a tribble room and wanted to change it upon arrival to a single room rate . It was challenging and i was so frustrated but Bassant and Christina Makram insisted to to sincerely help me and I’m so grateful for them and for the hotel’s dedicated staff.

Customer service was excellent, basically Christine and the young lady who work given customer drinks and snacks...They were very lovely, professionals and always helping and taking care of us
Location...actually the street around the main entrance was really bad. Also, sometimes security guys were no paying attention to their job

Amazing staff and location, heritage luxurious feeling and delicious food.
The parking is headache, need more parking to be available near the hotel.

The hotel is downtown, which is nice, but it is also very old and poorly maintained. It is also pretty noisy in that area of Alexandria, so you have to keep that in mind.
The location is fine, but the hotel is filthy and smells like cigarettes. I checked out half an hour after I checked in. You’d think they would refund me, but no—they charged me $600+ for a stay that never happened. And yes, my booking was refundable, but dishonesty and incompetence are the norm there.
Update: After I posted this review, they contacted me and issued a refund immediately. Which is nice, but it also shows how easy it can be when they have a reason to care. Anyway, I got my money back, so I am updating my review from 1 to 5.
