Everything was bad, starting of the door of the hotel was closed from inside and no one is close to open it. I reached a side door which was also closed but one employee saw me and asked me to go the main door again and he opened the door for me, I checked to rooms as per the request of the receptionist, one of them the Balcony door wasn’t closing, and the other one the lights wasn’t working, not clean, Mold on the walls and musty smell makes you sick, the receptionist then offered other rooms and mentioned they are not included in booking for double price

I write this review with a constructive purpose — to help improve a hotel that once delivered a wonderful experience. I stayed here 10 years ago and still remember the quality, which makes the current decline especially disappointing. Pros + Beautiful sea view: The triple room’s sea view is truly exceptional. + Some staff members genuinely tried to help, and their efforts are appreciated such as Waleed El Sayed so thanks for your individual efforts.
Cons - Unacceptable construction noise: Construction — officially 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM — started earlier, disturbing guests. - No sound-isolation: There is no proper sound insulation — you can hear street traffic and car horns loudly at night, making it almost impossible to sleep or rest peacefully. This is a major comfort issue. - Outdated room access experience: Only one physical key per room; it broke and I was told to wait the entire night until a replacement was made — unacceptable for any modern hospitality standard. - Poor Wi-Fi with outdated policy: Internet is limited to 1GB per person, and barely functions on high floors. In the modern age, unlimited reliable internet is a basic necessity for all travelers — for work, communication, safety, and planning. - Rooms lack maintenance: Outdated furniture, worn fixtures, and neglected facilities. - Cleanliness concerns: Dust and lack of proper preparation upon check-in. - Strange room-service policy: No glass cups provided — only small cardboard cups, something I have never encountered worldwide. ⚠️ A Key Point – Not Just a Renovation Problem The biggest concern is that many issues reflect management policies and mindset, not just an old building. Wi-Fi limits, lack of spare keys, cardboard cups, failure to enforce quiet hours, and construction starting early — these are operational decisions that actively harm the hotel’s brand. An old hotel can still feel premium — but when policies communicate cost-cutting over guest comfort, the reputation collapses. Final Message This review is written because I care. Kaoud once offered a memorable experience. With leadership improvements, updated guest-centered policies, proper sound-proofing, and renovation, it can recover its past greatness. I hope this message is received as a call to restore Kaoud Hotel to the standard it once proudly held.

The upgraded rooms are way better than the older rooms however they are expensive.
I was told a price in the beginning only to find out the receptionist gave me the wrong price and was confused. She didn’t care less about the mistake she made and neither did her colleague.

The room smelled weird and was dripping everywhere; the only decent thing is the view of the sea
the staff are very rude and the room was disgusting with mold on the roof and also when i orderd food it never came and I left the hotel to eat somewhere else
