The location and interior are excellent.
Breakfast was good.
Could do with an update of TV sets with smart features.

Wonderful
➕We did like the room. It was really big
➕We liked the breakfast, although I think it is the same everyday
➕The location is great as well
➕The hotel looks like an old castle inside. It has a lot of paintings and it is very nice.
➖we didn't like that there is no shampoo and shower gel. We had to go and buy a whole bottle for 2 days.

Very Good
The guy at the front desk who also dealt with our booking, was very considerate and helpful. The building is definitely old and quirky, but we didn't mind at all. The beds were comfortable and the TV big. We had the tiniest window in the corner or our room and it was cute and funny, and as it turned out later, useful too. Bathroom was nice, it had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was ok, I just wish there was bacon. For the price, the central location and included breakfast make it a decent option for a quick stay.
The hotel interior felt a little shabby and worn, but it can also be a part of the charm. Coffee wasn't the greatest. The fridge in our room didn't work, but we managed to utilize the area between the tiny window. This won't work in summer though. You could definitely hear people walking, and the music from the bar next door was audible on a Saturday night, so bring ear plugs if you're sensitive!

Exceptional
We didn't know we were coming to such an old and traditional place...! The place was steeped in centuries of history, with paintings, furniture, and old structures. The skylight offered a breathtaking view over the rooftops of the old town. Our entire stay was very quiet and peaceful, and we slept very well. The room was warm even though it was freezing outside.
The reception staff were strangely unfriendly both when we arrived and when we left. The breakfast was varied, but it would have been nice to have fresh bread instead of just toast.

The breakfast room and the food were outstanding!
The room starts right behind the wall; there's no hallway, so you can hear everybody walking by in the corridor and talking.

The lovely St. Olav is located next to the heart of Vanalinn, which made our daily commuting very convient and efficient. In addtion to this, the building was beautiful old architecture, but very a unique one, adding a beautiful dining hall. The services were splendid, for instance, our room was cleaned on the next morning. Furthermore, the lovely St. Olav provided high quality breakfast with various options before starting the day. We will definitely come back on our next visit.
None.

Don’t go to this hotel!!!!!
The staff was very tough, he suggested to me a room in the 5th floor, he claimed that room is with heating system, i went to see, it was like clumping 100+ stairs with no elevator, i asked to change for normal room, he refused and after that he told me i will give you a room with no heating!!!!
I had no other choices but to agree. I completely recommend to you don’t go there!

St. Olav Hotel was a good choice for the quality/ value of money
I liked
- great location: in the Old Town, everything is within walking distance
- floor heating in the bathroom
- very clean
- helpful and responsive staff
- good breakfast (not the best quality, but many options, including some for vegetarians, and their hot choco is made with milk)
- very calm
- very good value for the money I spent
My experience was positive overall, I only mention these few negatives because the hotel is listed 4 stars, and the following should not exist in a 4 star hotel
- the fridge did not work but was still in the room
- the hair dryer did not work. I did not needed it, but for someone with thick, long hair a hair dryer would be necessary in winter
- a little bit of bad smell coming from plumbing in the bathroom. I left the door closed so I did not feel it in my room

Wonderful
Nice cozy and warm room in the center of the historic district. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot and cold options. The front desk was extremely helpful not just with my request for extra pillows but gave great advice on how to get around the city and points of interest that would not necessarily be on every "tourist list", There was a New Years Eve party going on which I didn't participate, but it seemed like everyone had a good time and the noise was isolated. They even had a special party for the children in a separate area that was organized/supervised with activities.
Although we enjoyed our stay and the hotel had great old time charm, the walls were extremely thin and we could hear the neighbors clearly. My wife even mentioned she could hear the person snoring which I could confirm the following evening.

Very Good
The hotel is located right in the center of Tallinn Old Town. It is a nice hotel, and we were given a good room. The room temperature was excellent, but the bathroom was extremely cold. The room was clean, and the hotel breakfast was good.
Our room did not have slippers, and although I asked for them twice and was told they would be prepared, they were never delivered. Also, any noise from people walking in the hallway could be easily heard inside the room.
