Staff is nice and friendly, good breakfast, also the tea and espresso machine were available and clean room and facilities.
Hotel is located in Old Town and not easy to find it. Our room was a little bit cold ( no wonder because it is an old building)

The hotel is located right in the middle of the atmospheric old town, a short walk from the train station and the town hall square. The breakfast offered a decent range of hot and cold dishes.
The bathroom suffered from a poorly thought-out layout. The sink was tiny and there were no shelves or other space in the bathroom to put any of your makeup bags. Also, there was no bin in the bathroom.

being old the lift terminated at level 3 but our room was on level 4 . we left on Saturday so no staff to help us carry very heavy suitcases down

Facing a courtyard in the walled city, Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel offered quiet rooms, very good breakfasts, and a great location for those willing to walk.
Note: because the rooms face a courtyard, hallways are long and narrow.

The location in the middle of Old Town Tallinn was perfect and remarkably quiet. This is a very old building so some structural uniqueness is to be expected and adds to the charm. The breakfast was great as was the staff. We would gladly stay here again now that we know what to ask for in terms of room and floor.
We paid for a room described as having a desk which we really needed for on-the-road work. As the photo shows, our room was literally the size of the bed with no room to walk around it and no floor space for luggage. We had to climb in from the foot of the bed. In addition, the room was on the 4th floor with no lift so it was a haul. The window looked out on the courtyard which was fine except it was also at or above the other courtyard gutter lines. That meant that we looked down on the gutters just outside our window. The gutter was filled with moss and small plants which also meant that when the window was open (b/c the room was also very hot being at the top of the building), insects crawled or flew in. Not a huge number and not bothersome to us but might freak out others. And it also meant that all the roof exhaust vents of the buildings around the courtyard, including the adjacent restaurant's, were at the level of our window so it was very noisy. We were so exhausted on our first night after 24 hours of travel that we just collapsed and slept. The second night we started to realize our situation but reasoned that it was an old building, we were gone most of the day, it's only 2 more nights, etc.
On day three, when we couldn't locate the wall-mounted TV remote, we contacted the staff who came to the room to look for herself. When she opened the door and stood in the doorway (no other place to stand), she gasped and said, "Oh, this is not a good room at all!" We showed her our confirmation with a desk, what we'd paid, the heat, the noise, etc, and she immediately moved us to a nice room with a desk on the ground floor for the final two nights.

? Everything!! Beautiful old hotel in a beautiful section of the old town. Great staff, absolutely amazing room on the 5th floor in the eaves of the building! Huge breakfast buffet.

good location and quite environment
The room is difficult to access and is almost inhabitable. We have to crawl to get into the room and half of the space in the room are too low to stand up. The hotel should put the mark about this in room description. Fortunately, we are athletic enough to get by.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The room was extremely small, but I knew that prior to my stay. The television is so small and way up high so that when I was in the lower bunk, I could not see the television but I never turned it on anyhow.
I really enjoyed my stay and hope to return! No complaints from me!

Nice location
In the room “bedroom “ was at 4 meters altitude!! There were very steep stairs (or ladders) to the sleeping facility! And I am freight of high places. Fortunately I am physically in fit condition to do the climb. Breakfast included basically all you need but it was tasteless and bad quality (especially bread and scrambled eggs). At the breakfast staff didn’t say good morning or smiled.
