Location. That’s it
I left this room the day I checked in. The room is too small for anything to be done in it. I can’t even open my luggage on the floor with the limited space. The bed is touching the radiator which is a fire hazard. There was no shade on the skylight window so that leaves no room for relaxation or peaceful rest. The person across the hall had all their laundry drying in the hall and I could not easily access my room. Their shoes were also just sitting in the hall. No outlets near the bed. Drywall peeling off the wall.

Weird room set up, especially the chair in the middle of the room. There was no way of putting the chair close enough to the table to actually use the table.

Location (within old town), price, not so much noise (away from center).
We booked room specifically with kitchenette; and so room has kichenette but no utensils (eg, kettle, pans, etc. to book basic meals); so we paid money for kichenette but we could not use it because of no utensils provided. Pity.

The location is very good, especially for tourists who wish to see the Old Town. The concept of the place is very interesting, with rock walls and gothic furnishing and it really creates a special experience. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and they granted us an earlier check-in.
The TV is very small and doesn't have a lot of channels and the beds are perhaps even too comfortable, because you sink into the pillows and the mattresses (but maybe this was just us :) )

Wonderful
The location of this hotel is fantastic, just inside one of the main gates of the old town. It's great value for money considering the location. Rooms have fridges and microwaves, as well as a small hob for cooking. Also there's a hidden sun terrace on the second floor
Hard to find much to fault it really, room was quite small, the beds were maybe a little bit soft, and the walls a bit thin. But it's an old, charming building so that's to be expected.

It was good. Budget friendly and near to old town and restaurants. They say it's twin room but it has 3 beds. So if you are 3 you can easily book the twin or bouble room. And they are clean as well.

Very old hotel in old town. Natalia in reception was very helpful to us regarding getting our clothes washed on a Friday afternoon of a bank holiday weekend. She also helped us regarding getting the ferry to Helsinki and using the local really cool swimming pool. They don't offer breakfast but you go to their other hotel, St. Olafs and have a very good buffet.
We didn't have a blind on our Velux window so we had daylight from 3.30am to 11.30pm. As they say in the movie 'The Commitments', 'the stairs will kill you!'

Comfy bed (not a seam in between two doubles) and strong WiFi. Great location and helpful staff (thanks Mike!). The small window keeps most of the (constant) sunlight out which was helpful! The downstairs rooms are cool, which is also helpful.
Maybe take the dresser / stove / TV out and put the refrigerator/ microwave / teapot under the window ??♂️

Mike at the front desk is friendly and helpful, offering me several places outside of Old Town to visit (which I did -thanks!). The bed was comfortable, and actually a double (or king) as opposed to two twins placed next to each other, which I appreciated (two twin box springs but comfy king top). The room was a bit small, but I did book the cheapest one and the big bed and stove, fridge, microwave & teapot take up a lot of space, so a deal is a deal! It was a DEAL, considering the prime location that’s about a ten minute walk from the ferry terminal and in Old Town. Breakfast is available from their sister property, but I didn’t try it. Strong WiFi also! The building is really old -yet functional, if you’re into those elements.
The bathroom could be set up a bit better, as the curtain tracks are outside of the water catchment, causing the bathroom floor to flood. I just asked for an extra bathroom mat though, and put one in the bathroom (which soaks up most of the water) and one in the hall, and problem solved. =)
Maybe take out the microwave, TV and stove so there’s more room? Just a thought! I’m sure others might rather have that stuff ??♂️

The location was great - everything was super close. The hotel is in the old medieval building so it's like travelling in time - I liked the design!
Easy self-checking after 8pm!

Mostly the location and the old atmosphere inside the hotel was quite unique.
It was a bit hot inside and walls/ washroom could've been a tad bit more clean. Also it woud be nice to have a bit more dim light inside the room.

Disappointing
Location was perfect, 1/2 room had nice view. We got the rooms early by asking (a normal weekday in April - probably was empty).
The fridge worked. We got a fan when we asked the cleaner.
The price was low, but then again you don't get much with that price.
The other room was unbearably hot - half of the family didn't sleep well due to this. The radiator was heating all the time at max even though it was 25C outside. Adjustment didn't work. We tried asking from the cleaner but we didn't have a common language. Sent also a message via booking.com but no reply from there.
The other room had a window facing a narrow shaft and the opposite window (which luckily was empty). Half of the laminate(?) floor was covered with a carpeted floor and you could hear and feel the floor crackling under your feet. One can only guess what has happened to the floor below the carpet... Beds were too soft and air quality was not very good - half of the family didn't sleep well due to this. Also one day the bathroom smelled like old urine - and no, it was not caused by us.
Also you have to register in another address to get the keys. Maybe we were unlucky, but the payment device didn't work.
