Overall this was an amazing place to stay. The room was clean with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was outstanding, including fresh fruit, delicious croissants, eggs, and coffee/hot chocolate. Centrally located to the historic old town. Staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. My only wish is that we had been able to stay longer!

Beautiful views of Quito from hotel. All the staff were exceptional. James at the front deal and Chris in the restaurant both spoke English and both were friendly, courteous, and professional. The property is beautiful.
Our room was a bit small, and the bed too hard for me but my wife said the bed was fine for her. The free breakfast was amazing as was Chris who was our server and the chef made some great dishes for dinner.
For me the bed was too firm.

The property is beautifully restored and maintained. It’s obvious the staff takes pride in their place of work. The staff was wonderful from James at check in to the house keeping and restaurant staff. Everyone was a standout. We were welcomed and made to feel we mattered. The view was outstanding as well.
It’s a bit far away for a senior guest to get around. Walking the streets is not for amateurs. Too often it was difficult to get transportation. Uber cancelled calls numerous times due to the challenge it is to get to and from the property.

Always wonderful to stay at this hotel when in Quito. James and David are always accommodating and go out of their way to help where they can. We especially like the restaurant on the top floor. Great food at reasonable prices. And the view from the outdoor lounge is awesome!
Had a bit of an issue with a smell coming from the floor drain in the bathroom but, covered it with a carpet and it was fine.

I had a lovely stay at Vista del Angel. The staff was fantastic, and exceptionally helpful. They arranged a couple of last minute tours for me which were wonderful. The the facilities were lovely, the view from my room was fantastic. Breakfast was very good.
The walls are pretty thin so unfortunately I could hear guests arriving in the middle of the night, as well as barking dogs in the neighborhood. Overall it was very quiet, and nearly all of the other guests were very respectful, but the hotel needs better insulation.

The place is magnificent. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and unique. The restaurant upstairs serves a glorious breakfast on the patio overlooking the city which is simply spectacular. The food is excellent - have dinner there at least once. David, the hotel manager, is terrific. This place is a true gem and a bargain. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful stay thanks to the incredibly helpful and friendly staff—David, Christian, and Susana made everything easy and welcoming. The location was perfect, with a beautiful view of the Angel, and the breakfast was truly amazing.

Absolutely everything!
This hotel has the best views of Quito and probably the best staff and service in Ecuador! The world can learn from them!
I have stayed in places 20 times the price in other parts of the world and didn't get this treatment! Every day with every member of the staff!
You are made to feel welcomed from the moment the electric gates open and they meet you.
The most genuinely gracious and welcoming staff, better than the most expensive hotel in Quito.
Because they have the best view, the most quiet location, the most beautiful rooms, they could have bad service as many places do, but they didn't! The service was outstanding as were the views.

I pick up this hotel for our group by the photos and previous good reviews. It didn't disappoint. The views from the terrace were stunning, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean with comfortable beds. Fruit plates on breakfast so tasty. We had a steam sauna and whirlpool bath on the second night. Definitely would choose Vista del Angel also on the next visit.
The streets of the Old Town are steep and narrow. Logistically challenging. Requires good fitness.
