The hosts Carlos and Veronica are super nice and welcoming, living in the place with their loveable dog. They are always available to attend you and to make your staying the best. My room was very clean and very well fornitured, with hot water, good atmosphere and colors and also with a hair dryer. The location is perfect, very central, 2min walking from a metro stop and 10min by bus from the center. I couldn't have not found a better place.
They also have a parking where I kept my bike since I'm travelling with it, it was very safe.
Don't doubt to book it ;)

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Posada Tambuca. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! Bonus: they have a very loving furry friend, Titan, who made the experience even better!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the older lady was very welcoming, and the breakfast was sufficient. I requested a taxi to the airport at midnight, and it was provided without any problems. The neighborhood was OK, nothing too charming but appeared safe.
There is no sound proof among the rooms, so you hear everything happening in the building. My room was small, and the window opened to a wall, so it felt kind of claustrophobic, and there was a slight smell of mold. OK for a quick stop of a night or two.

My room was adjacent to the kitchen with a window separating me from the dining area. So in the morning and evening there was boisterous talking that was practically in my room.

Yolanda & Carlos were amazing hosts, very kind, and great with the kids. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, and the shower was pleasant. The kids loved the bunk bed and the game room!
There is no sound dampening so it was difficult keeping the kids quiet on the second floor to not disrupt those beneath us.
Shared bathroom facilities for the family room was unexpected.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were also able to request an early breakfast on days when we were leaving early which was very kind of them. There is filtered water for drinking. We had a nice room with a hot shower. The hosts also dried our clothes when we washed them which was very kind. We were there for 5 nights and felt very cared for and looked after! We walked to and from the centre during the day and it was fine.
You could hear some noise from the kitchen, upstairs, door bell in the room but it wasn’t too bad and it wasn’t late at night, just in the mornings. It was cold in the room but they provide blankets for the bed. The area didn’t feel super safe at night but we didn’t have any problems when we were there.

The host was very friendly and helpful, offering to give us a ride early morning, since it might not be safe. Breakfast was very good with freshly squeezed juice, omelets, yogurt and breads.
The neighborhood did not feel safe enough at night during our stay. At first the hot water did not work, but it was fixed once we asked.

I loved the warm welcome I received from both Carlos and his wife on my arrival.
Anything I wanted or needed, Carlos went out of his way to help. After a misunderstanding with a local taxi driver ( due mostly because of my lack of Spanish) Carlos offered to drop me off at the airport at a cheaper price then I had paid to get there so I didn’t have to worry about any future taxi issues because of my lack of Spanish!
Breakfast included eggs, fruit and croissants and yoghurt I think.
The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on in Ecuador!
There’s nothing I didn’t like.. as a super noise and light sensitive person I heard a little noise from the wooden parquet flooring on one of the nights but it wasn’t enough to disturb me for more than a few minutes.

Surprisingly perfect place, with all of your need for a great stay in Quito. Take close attention to the important details in the room, which you might miss in another hotels in Ecuador. Breakfast any time, which suits to your schedule, and transfer to the airport

Family owned hostel. Carlos and his parents are very nice people. They provide help anytime. We got a very early airport transfer and were equiped with a lunch package without asking for it. Baggage disposal wasn't any problem.
Rooms are not big, some without a window Therefore not suited for long stays. But compared to the price, worth a stay.
