Pros:
- Comfiest beds I've had in the 3 weeks of being in ecuador, feels like my own sheets at home!
- huge rooms, amazing views out the window of the Statue
- beautiful deck, main lounge, outside patio, kitchen, etc, very Colonial true to the name.
- hot water 24/7, great flow
- Super kind staff
- rooms have a dresser, table, tons of space and my God big French windows that opened.
- great location
- rooftop has chairs and shower if you workout there.
- Free water that is accessible 24-7 (some places lock the kitchen access at night!)
Cons:
1. No heat (though common in Ecuador), plenty of blankets come w the room! We were never cold.
2. Horrible soundproof, you can hear any little noise and the room are literally separated by a thin piece of wood in some areas. We like our quiet and were lucky to book in low season, but the noise would be terrible if busy. Doors slam open and close, can't get away with it due to their designs. Other guests are respdctul and are in bed early and up early but if you're be to some loud guests or "loving" guests, you're gonna hear every word ;)
3. Buzzer to get in, and to get out (during the day you can get out by yourself but at night both doors are locked. Staff super fast at answering though <30 seconds.
4. The room key is an old style lock and key but is bulky to carry.

The family running the place is very nice, friendly and helpful. The location is quite close to the center, just a five or ten minute walk. The area felt safe and it was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. It is an old place but that is also part of its charm. You can use the kitchen with fridge and utensils. They will cook you a really nice breakfast for just a few dollars. There is a tv with cable channels.
It was all good. Not the Hilton but comfortable.

The beds were comfy
I liked the old aesthetic
The roof top and other hangout areas were nice to have

The welcome was lovely, the host is a real gentleman, so nice, helping us with our plans, ordering a taxi etc, the place has a kitchen and loads of space.
Not much, it was a great place. Maybe the WiFi could be improved but wasn't too bad either

We had such a great experience staying at la posada with Jamie! He made us feel so welcomed to Ecuador and helped us navigate our time in Quito. The hostel was very nice and amenities were great. Gorgeous views from the rooftop! Would definitely stay with Jamie again, he was the best!!

Very good location, walking distance to many of the things I wanted to visit. Only stayed for a weekend, but would def stay here again. Large room, good value, rooms with windows - which was a major plus - and a lot of personality to the property.

The owner was very helpful with suggested visit spots and with help coordinating transportation.
The owner did not speak fluent English so there was some "spanglish" while communicating and hot water for bathing was limited.

Its a very nice hotel with a very good athmosphere. Besides the owner and persons in the hotel are so polite, friendly and very helpful. I would really recommend to stay there. When I am in Quito, I will definitely book it again.

Charming old house. It was like staying at a museum.
Friendly and accommodating staff.
Spacious clean room with very comfortable beds.
Nice common areas with living room, rooftop terrace and dining room.
Laundry service.
Small secure gated parking area (not covered).
Located within easy walking distance of the Old Town.
Tiny bathroom. XL size people would not be able to use the toilet.
The place is located 1 block form the historic downtown. Many people would not feel comfortable after dark in the area.

Good location near the historical old town. Spacious.
The address was wrong on Booking as it relates to Google Maps. Got dropped off a couple of blocks away. A policeman assisted us.
Shower was bad, no hot water the first day.

It was in a great location so great for walking around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My Spanish is just three months worth of Duolingo so highly limited and most of the employees have limited English. Be careful if you eat here as I got food poisoning and it took 10 days to recover!
