This was an exceptional stay; the building is amazing, our room was very comfortable and the location is great. The staff went above and beyond to help us for our one night stay, like putting out early breakfast before our tour start. The hotel is very close to the artisanal market for picking up hand-made gifts and there are a number of nice restaurants in 5-10 minutes walking distance.
We did not hear any neighbors, but with the floors it seemed possible that noise would travel across rooms.

Wonderful
The place has a whole is great, the owner takes great care of the property and his guests. It is a unique hotel which gives the impression that it is part accommodation and part art gallery. Beds were very comfortable.
We wish there were more breakfast options available.

The renovated house is a magical palace of art and cultural gems. Miles is a lovely host and excellent value for a comfortable stay in Quito.

Miles is an excellent host who has shown tremendous care in restoring this beautiful building. He has been helpful in every way we have asked. He has excellent taste, which shows everyone. Most of all, he is a kind man who cares about his guests.

Massive 3 room suite with private balcony. The gated property was very secure, and the owner/staff were amazing. The owner speaks multiple languages and will show you around the neighborhood. Getting in and out of the gated property is a breeze with your gate fob. Great coffee.

This small boutique hotel has a lot of charm, a courtyard with a wonderful garden and tiki, plus I was upgraded to a suit for free! Huge bedroom and bathroom. This boutique hotel is a converted mansion, the owner has done a wonderful job, very welcoming atmosphere! Walking distance to nearby attractions and restaurants, and very secure.
The neighbourhood at night is a bit sketchy, precaution, in general, walking the streets anywhere in Quito at night.

Breakfast was not available, though complimentary good coffee and croissants were at 6:00 a.m. We were directed to the Mercure Hotel, which was very nearby, that had an excellent and inexpensive breakfast in its cafe. Also, the room we had on the second floor was very large, nicely appointed, with a separate living area. The proprietor, from Toronto, Canada was very helpful and personable.

La Coupole is a home from home. From the moment we arrived we felt like guests in a beautiful home with a charming and attentive host. Importantly we felt perfectly safe and secure at all times.
There was nothing we did not like - hence we returned later in the summer!

Wonderful
Miles was so kind to work with. He provided us with breakfast and coffee despite us having extremely early departure times each morning we were there and made us feel very welcome! We did not spend much time at the hotel because of the activities around Quito that we had planned but it looks like a lovely place to be able to relax and enjoy the serene scenery in the hotel complete with relaxing jazz music that we heard playing in the main area.
