Very good location if you want to use public transportation to go around. Extremely friendly staff, they even let me check in already early in the morning. The room was quiet and had everything I needed, also an amount of blankets, so it did not feel cold at night. Breakfast on the roof floor, simple, but enough to give you a start to the day (bread, butter, jam, juice, fruits and eggs). As I made reservation long time ahead, the price was very affordable.
Instant coffee at breakfast. They could offer normal one.

Beautiful colonial building well kept with dramatic dark wood throughout. Klever and all staff made us feel like family. Klever happily greeted us at 3 AM and helped with luggage up to our room.
We prefer larger beds than the singles available.

Hotel building have be recently renovated. Old furniture but lighting & hot water works well. Location is good, near to all the tourist attractions in Old Quito. Bonus point - Hotel allowed early check-in and late check-out.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. From the start, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Guillermo, the owner, and his daughter Lorena went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every morning, Lorena prepared a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast on the beautiful rooftop restaurant, where we could enjoy sweeping views of the city—a perfect way to start the day. Kleber, the front desk clerk, was also incredibly helpful, even offering to drive us to the airport on our departure day. The location itself couldn’t be better—very central and convenient to nearly everything we wanted to do. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with hot water and fresh towels available on demand. If you requested, the staff would happily come to tidy up the room. While English is not spoken, we were fortunate enough to speak Spanish, which made communication flow smoothly. Lorena even gave us directions to the local market, where we picked up beautiful fresh flowers—roses (4 for $1) and sunflowers over 4 feet tall (also $1 each!). She also packed our breakfast to go for us when asked on days we had tours with early starts. An extra touch that was really appreciated One thing to keep in mind is that the walls are a bit thin, so you may hear your neighbors. That said, this is a small trade-off for the hospitality, warmth, and value this hotel provides. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a central location, genuine hospitality, and a truly memorable experience.

If I have to choose one, it's the floor is squeaking, but pretty much all hotel are like this in this country. Didn't really matter anyway.

Cleanness, location, breakfast, the hotel staff were very friendly and dedicated to make my stay very comfortable, they provide shuttle to the airport
Only one thing; toilet was hard to flush it, someone was sent to fix that problem and provide a plunger to use it when happening

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Klever picked us up at the airport and drove us to a meeting point for an excursion, and drove us back to the airport. Location is a couple blocks from Plaza Grande and the Iglesia de Compania de Jesus. Breakfast was good too - fresh fruit, eggs, bread, coffee.
It's an old, outdated hotel, with small rooms and a double bed. It was adequate but not fancy.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel team are unsurpassed. The hotel's location and amenities were ideal for my travel planning and itinerary throughout my three-week stay in Ecuador. I also loved the hotel's character and charm.

There was good hot runnjng water for a good shower. Breakfast was great too.
First impression: arrived 10pm and there was a worker snoring in the reception area and it seems he was there all night as I went down at 5am and he was still in that position and snoring. Wifi - poor, none in the bedroom No English speaking workers, lack of communication Very noisy bathroom door Got in late and no kettle/tea facilities in the bedroom.

The location of this hotel is ideal for visiting Quito Old Town. The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure our stay was good. The breakfast was excellent - eggs, bread, fruit, coffee/tea/hot chocolate and juice. The rooms were big and the shower was nice.
We did have quite a bit of street noise but that is to be expected in the city. Pillows were not very comfortable.
