The staff was incredible. Isaias, the manager, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and to be of help in any way we needed. He even cooked our breakfast, took us on outings when we were free at a lower price than other venues, and was always attentive to our needs. He made our stay in Quito a much better one.
There were no bath mats on the floor, so after showering, the floor was wet and slippery. Everything else was perfect.

I really enjoyed this place. Gave a good balance of openness as well as privacy. The bathrooms were clean and there was good service. Places to wash your clothes as well as a very nice kitchen and dining area. The location is excellent as well. You are close to multiple restaraunts and bars.

If there is a better place to stay in Quito, I don't want to know. Arupo is perfect. A beautiful and super comfortable space, in a very busy neighborhood with lots of options, but with the hostal located on a much quieter street. The highlight, however, is the incredible staff: friendly, smiling, efficient. It will always be my choice when I return to Quito.

I like the place, the area near partys places like bar and clubs. I dont know every time I talk to locals about this area ( foch plaza ) they told it isnt safe area, but I am fine during my stay. But group of people standing in the street looks scary sometimes.
Host is very friendly and prepare breakfast
I dont feel comfortable everytime I have to ring the bell to get in and it makes me hesitate to go out at night because I dont want to wake them up by ringing the bell after midnite.

Host is super friendly and very welcoming. Room was really good and bed was comfortable. Asked for extra blanket because room was a little cold. Enjoyed breakfast.

The staff were terrific, very friendly and very helpful. The location was good, close to some very good restaurants. The hotel was very nice, with rooms to sit and read it and it was very clean and attractive.
It can get a bit noisy due to nearby clubs Fri & Sat but that isn't the hotels fault.

The hotel is really authentic. I was really in love. The staff is amazing and ready to help with everything. Rooms are big and so nice.

It's centrally located in a very nice building
It is literally next to a nightclub that plays music so loud the walls vibrate. If you stayed here from Sunday to Wednesday, this probably wouldn't be a big issue, but we asked the only person working the night we were here and she said Thursday-Saturday this is what happens. I have high-grade earplugs and it was still unbearable. It's a shame, because it could be a nice location to stay.
The staff on duty also reserved a taxi for us because we had an early flight, and the dude just - didn't show up. So we had to call an Uber. There's that, too.

We stayed in the deluxe room, which was fabulous. Breakfast was amazing, great preparation for the days' exploring. The hot shower was great (give it a few minutes to warm up in the cold months). Ximenia, the attendant working when we arrived was incredibly helpful and a great advocate.
GREAT location if you want to go out at night.
Down the way, around the corner, there is a sister property. We had a slight confusion because our taxi dropped us off at the sister property. Thinking we were in the right place, we signed into that hotel and got assigned a room that clearly wasn't the one I had reserved. (The room was nice, but it wasn't what I expected and so I was disappointed.) As we walked back from dinner, we got turned around. We passed a building that had Casa del Arupo in the front. We even tried our key even though this wasn't where we had checked in. When we finally found the sister property where we had kept our things, I realized that we were not in the right hotel. We walked back to Case Del Arupo, rang the bell. Ximenia was super understanding and helpful. She instantly recognized us for our reservation and she walked us to the other hotel to explain the situation. When all was sorted, we switched hotels and landed in the room we had reserved. NOTE TO TRAVELERS: Google search results seem somewhat fickle. Sometimes it returns HOSTAL Arupo, the sister property that is on E5 block. This Bed and Bath, Case DEL ARUPO is on E7 block. Remembering the E7 was the only way I figured out we were in fact in the wrong hotel. Some of the pictures seem to be from the other hotel which has a garden in the middle/black. Case DEL Arupo has a small garden in the front.

I love my little attic room with its pale wood ceiling and crisp white walls. Great hot water and super helpful and friendly staff. The location is right in a fun busy area, with great restaurants, just steps away.
The room was pretty chilly. A little heater would’ve been nice to take off the edge of cold. There was no hand towel nor bathmat, which would have been really helpful when stepping out onto the cold floor after a shower. Also, if you were a light sleeper, definitely bring earplugs as the music from local bars will keep you up.
