The staff was amazing! Cris, one of the owners, was incredibly helpful. As a single female traveler, I wasn’t completely comfortable going out after dark to find dinner. Cris ensured I was able to have dinner in the hotel, despite it being after their normal meal hours and being the only guest to eat in. They served a delicious meal at very good value. Thanks, Cris and team!
Rooms can be cold in the evening. Heaters don’t always work well, but an extra blanket made it more comfortable.

The location was great and the staff helpful. The room was pretty.
The bed was hard and I was cold the whole time. The heater didn't put out enough heat to take the chill out of the room.

Very comfortable, staff was helpful and accommodating
Perhaps a glass in the room to have a beverage and maybe coffee in suite for early risers. Otherwise I loved the place and would go back again.

This is a great hotel - a real Gem. Small, and has plenty of character. The staff were amazing and we enjoyed chatting. The breakfast was great. The Wifi was reliable. Well located in Quito to get to many other spots - I would highly recommend a visit to Quito Vivarium and The Botanical gardens.

the personnel was just lovely- super friendly, helpful, kind, warmhearted and caring.
the atmosphere in house was like from a great book or a movie - beautiful music on the background in a breakfast room, nice collection of books and comfy chairs in library, elegant fireplace and sofas in a public room, cozy and spacious inner garden with beautiful blooming trees.
it was the best hotel experience ever. and the most welcoming vibes in a new country.
will definitely be back again.
loved everything and decided to stay for an extra day just to enjoy the house and hospitality.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The apparent owner who sometimes managed things was not. I felt like an unwanted house guest when he was around.
My room smelled like sewer the whole time due to a drain in the bathroom. There were 2 large dogs lunging in the common areas the whole time (on furniture). Everything was covered in dog hair and one day the stairs had dog poop.

La Rabida is an absolutely charming hotel. The owners - Christian, Xavier and another gentleman are very casual. From the time I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a home. Very easy going. Great room (spacious, adequate and comfy), strong wifi (a must for us digital nomads) and overall nice home like enviroment, including the 2 dogs Belle and Rody.
I wouldn't say "don't like" as I didn't have any issues....but I can see people who are used to "conventional hotels" with 24x7 reception a bit surprised when there isn't someone all the time at the desk. That said, they provide their numbers and whatsapp contact, so it's easy to get hold of them.

The breakfast was very good and made to order. The owners checked with us the night before to ensure we were happy with what they planned to make and said they would have it ready for whatever time was convenient for us. A+ service.
The hotel was very quiet and safe. However, it would have been nice if the room had a stronger lock than just simply the handle lock. I never felt unsafe but I would have felt even safer if I had the ability to deadbolt the room while I slept.
